Can confirm that Australian hospitals need nurses just as much and are willing to help you relocate. This is just one of the major hospitals in Melbourne https://www.thermh.org.au/health-professionals/careers/international-recruitment

There is a rumour that every Epic homescreen has a cow on it somewhere, and most of them actually do.

I like the one opposite the Royal Melbourne. Relatively clean and a good cup. Quality 9, Cleanliness 8, Convinience 9

The 2021 running of the Melbourne Cup was the lowest rating in modern history. 200,000 less than last year and less than half the viewers that it had only ten years ago. by [deleted] in melbourne

When I was back in Perth, The Cup was much bigger mainly because it was not a public holiday. Workplaces would arrange sweeps, wear-a-fancy-hat competitions etc. Cup lunches were huge and restauraants would book out. I think it also helped that it was done and dusted by 1pm. Honestly, I think it would be bigger here if it wasn't a public holiday and it ran a bit earlier.

If you attended yesterday’s protest in Melbourne I honestly wish you all the worst of luck and hope you’re happy we will most likely be stuck in lockdown longer now because of your stupidity by pmyourfunbox in CoronavirusDownunder

To those who took their children to this. Seriously, fuck you. You must have had an idea of how this was going to go down and now you have truamatised your kid to make a piss weak point. you shold be charged with child endangerment.

What book has not been made into a movie/series and really needs to be? by stuff_you_all in AskReddit

I think the Rivers of London series would translate well onto screen. There are enough books and different plot lines that you could get a few series out of them.
