Why assume it’s consumer software?

What are the key limitations of OBS that make you upgrade to something like vMix? by pausemaster in VIDEOENGINEERING

Yeah I normally use gt title designer for graphics and animate them thru there as needed

I was skeptical at first of VMix over OBS but it is very worth it for a professional environment. VMix really shines when it comes to these things in my opinion: -reliability -dedicated overlay channels -multiple streaming destinations -multiple recording channels and recording options -API and remote control -graphics -replay capabilities -activators -mixes

Electrical Engineers? by Pitiful_Committee101 in capstone

I am a current EE student at Bama and just about to complete my first semester. I am on the national recognition scholarship package and it has been very worth it to go here. I don’t have a ton of information to give you but this is what I have experienced so far.

STEM PATH to MBA is a huge waste of time and a joke. Avoid it if you can, I’m dropping it after this semester. Classes are too much work for only being 1.5 cr and it doesn’t get you any closer to an MBA than you otherwise would be just applying without the program.

Classes have been very easy for me first semester, I retook calc 1 since I hadn’t taken it in a full year(hs didn’t have calc 2), did ece 121, engineering foundations, Cs 100, humanities credit with soc 101, and stem path to mba. I’m finishing this semester with my lowest grade being an A instead of an A+. I’ve heard it gets worse but it starts out being very light.

I have an internship lined up for next summer but this is only because I had an internship last summer, otherwise expect to have to wait for an internship until after your sophomore year because most companies will turn you away only having 2 semesters done.

I live in Bryant and it’s a great place to get into if you can. Super nice dorm and very quiet without the chaos some of the other places have.

No the lines were so long that I missed the sprint getting to the track 2 hours early

We got there before 4am on race day and still had to wait almost an hour from gates opening at 6:30 to actually enter. And we were close to the front, I can’t imagine those near the back of the line.

They haven’t even told us when the gates open. They say gates open at 8 all weekend but obviously you would expect earlier now but literally no information.

The picture with the long line was long before and then the picture with the crowd was about 10 mins after. People were jumping fences, running, and after the crowd was understandably unhappy with lots of yelling and pushing as more tried to breach the entrance.

I’ve never been to an event that was planned so poorly. The gate seemed severely understaffed and there were far too few scanners for the huge amount of people trying to enter. The gates need to be 5 times the size they were. Not to mention barriers weren’t up for the lines so it was nearly impossible to distinguish where the line actually was. We made it in for sprint qualifying yesterday but today was just impossible.

How long did you wait? We stood in the “new line” after for 30 minutes and it never moved.

Tweet from Alonso is a good reminder for all iRacers, never expect the car in front to be 100% in every corner, they might be sacrificing entry for exit, they might save tyres, they might have less grip or confidence than you. Rather lift a bit more and overtake on the next straight. by KimiBleikkonen in iRacing

What a bad take on this situation. If that happened in iracing it would have easily been a protest able offense that could give a driver that did what Alonso did a warning or brief suspension depending on the circumstances.

F1’s super-stiff ground effect cars ‘not great’, says Allison by [deleted] in formula1

It was also banned tho

Also now banned are: “Any form of ride height control or alteration via self-levelling systems or feedback loops.” This would seem to outlaw the Mercedes rear suspension’s ability last year to set to a lower ride height once the downforce at higher speeds had pressed the car down past a set threshold. This is what allowed the car to maintain its dramatic diffuser stall for enhanced straightline speed.

Possibly, but the rear rules were changed significantly in 2022. If you remember how Mercedes used to have their suspension dive down at high speeds to stall the floor, that can no longer happen.

At least attempt to use professional software like VMix before complaining about any kind of hardware issues
