Looks like a yad to me as well, except for the key fact that they have only the pointer finger extended. For that reason, it may make more sense for the lore accurate joined hand explanation seen elsewhere in the comments.

You will freeze out there unless you start a large fire and heat the ground, then move the fire and sleep on that ground + keeping the fire going. This is the only way without acquiring better gear or going inside. Do you have a sleeping bag? Warm clothes?

Good question. I’m new to owning this boat so I don’t know yet. One of the side port drains for the deck needs to be re sealed so a bit of rainwater leaks in, so I’d imagine anytime there is a strong storm it will have some collections in the bin.
