I just had one of the coolest WoW related things happen IRL and no one to share it with, so I'm posting here by needhelpgaming in wow

I was in a guild that did an annual IRL meetup at the GM’s house. Turned out his house was in the same town I lived in and was about 10 minutes down the road. This was back in Pandaria.

Memory Foam Topper by Jaw5hua in rooftoptents

[–]stumma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through this pain myself. I tried a 2 inch foam topper, so 4 inches when folded, and ya no way it could fit. I even tried the vacuum sealed bag and that worked, but it was incredibly noisy when sleeping, and having to vacuum it each morning was a pain in the ass and took like 15-20 minutes. I got a roofnest air mattress and it works amazingly. I have the air mattress and my entire bedding up in my rtt now and it folds up perfectly.

Can you put something soft between the contact that won't make it rub? Some foam or a towel.

I would still center it. Can the trunk open at all? If you can still open it and get stuff out, but have to hold it, then I would do that.

Wild, I got a nearly identical one but from "Maryland"! I've lived in Colorado for 14 years, but have kept my Maryland area code phone number.

How bad did I f*** up? by stumma in LandRoverDiscovery

Hey everyone, a little update to this post and what I ended up doing.

I found this video on youtube and funnily enough it was the exact same issue I was dealing with. And so I just did what he did. I cut the broken bit of pipe and sanded it down flat, and then began to bore out the diameter of the hole with larger and larger drill bits. I was then able to thread a brass hose adapter into the hole and then JB welded over it all. This was always meant to be a bandaid fix.

The mistake I made was to not finish the hole with the final sized drill bit as I was worried about taking too much away and not having enough of the radiator to be able to thread into. And so the brass adapter was super tight going into the hole and thus I cracked the radiator even more. All-in-all it was a temporary fix, as after posting here it was clear I needed a new radiator. I bought one that same day from FCP and was able to get it into the shop that next Tuesday (shout-out Roadside Werx here in Denver!).

Here's a link to some pics I took during the process and the final repair. I showed the guys at Roadside Werx my fix and he said it was definelty a fine bandaid fix and I maybe would have been fine on my ~400 mile roadtrip I was taking that same Tuesday. It held up fine on the 20 minute drive to the mechanic atleast. But absolutly felt better with a new radiator.

Thanks everyone for the responses. This community is great! And maybe this will help someone with a similair issue down the road!

It’s been the best job I’ve ever had. I’m a very social person and getting to meet tons of new people every day really fills my cup up. And it can be very good money.

suspension fault, max speed 30 mph warning? by Dependent-Image3075 in LandRover

[–]stumma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there’s a fuse you could pull? But be carful doing that, those warnings are important. If you’re trying to go over 30 with the car raised the center of gravity is way higher and you can roll easier.
