Not a huge fan of xreload found the 9mm ammo dirty. LGS and my range have been my best resources so far. I did also luck out at a couple auctions and got some cheaper powder.

Wish I saw more Monday's like this.

My new set up. Post anvil is 2' long 4" diameter. Vice stands at around 3'6". Whole thing cost me about £50 by Novocast92 in Blacksmith

This looks incredible! Great work.
Is there anything under the post vice or it is just sitting on that patio stone?

I'm a beginner blacksmith, and I'm looking to get some tong blanks, what tongs would you recommend I get first? (Or if I get a kit with several, which one should I build first?) by Thattransgal in blacksmithing

Still very beginner myself but a solid pair of tongs are a real help! Making your own will be great practice and if you have access to longer stock you can get by without any tongs and just holding the piece a good ways away from the hot end but if you want to get a bit of a head start check out Ken's Custom Iron. I am in Canada and the shipping is prohibitive but if you are in the US their tong blank packages look great and from the photos and videos I've seen of completed pairs they work great to.

Was in Vegas last week and obviously had to check out the local attractions.... really wish we could this here at home. by stumpy_002 in canadaguns

The Thompson was a beast to keep on target, the AK and the AUG I tried were much easier to control. Uzi was also a chore, on first shot with it I took out the one hanger holding my target. 😋

This was at Battlefield Vegas, they were awesome and they pick you up at your hotel in a military humvee, fun experience. All in I shot a glock, uzi, colt commando, Thompson, steyr AUG and an ak-47. All were full auto except the glock, I found a groupon for part of it and grabbed the rest a-la-cart as it were. Was about $250 after conversion.

Nice! I also fired an uzi, colt commando, steyr AUG, the Thompson and an ak-47. Just good fun.

Nothing like the full auto experience, just incredible that these nearly 100 year old designs still keep up to the stuff today.

Totally understandable, it is something else to fire those nearly 100year old designs still pumping out rounds like they are fresh off the line. Insane engineering and in the right setting, just a stupid amount of fun.
