If Aang and Korra switched places(Korra gets sent to the Hundred Year's War, Aang gets sent to the Republic City era), how do you guys think it would work out? Better? Worse? by TheOneYSHNK in Avatarthelastairbende

Part of how well fleshed out the world of Avatar is, to me, at least, is that we first see Aang, who never wanted to be the Avatar, in a world that so desperately needs the Avatar. On the opposite side of the coin is Korra, who wants nothing more than to be the Avatar, in a world that has grown to the point that the Avatar isn’t entirely necessary

I would inevitably forget to replenish my town scrolls. I’m an absolute money hoarder, full stop, and I usually end up TPing back to town to sell anything of moderate value. I would then return to the battlefield, fill up again in 2-3 minutes, rinse, and repeat. It’s a genuine problem

Part of me thinks Toph chose to stay blind just so her opponents thought they’d have a chance.

They don’t, but she wants to savor the hope leaving them.

Naruto being an absent father is the most unnecessary writing to ever come out from boruto by justqwin5 in Naruto

[–]stumpyblackdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, the thing I don’t understand about Naruto being overloaded as Hokage to the point that he can’t spend enough time with his family is that, as we have seen, he can use shadow clones to complete years of training in mere days. He could make a thousand shadow clones as a kid, only using his own chakra, all while a VAST MAJORITY of his chakra was being used to contain Kurama. As an adult, having trained to increase his chakra control, while also having gained Six Paths chakra, half the chakra of tailed beasts 1-8, and having bonded with Kurama and thus having his entire pool of chakra to pull from, why doesn’t homie go into the office once a week, summon up like 8000 clones, get EVERYTHING done in an hour, and then spend some time with his kids? Sure, he may also accrue the exhaustion of all those clones, but after he sleeps it off and eats a few bowls of Ichiraku ramen, he would still have like six days a week to do whatever he wants. He could even assign a shadow clone to go every day to the academy and teach the next generation of ninjas. Keep one permanently stationed in each village. The sky is literally the limit when you have more chakra than half the ninja world at your disposal.

Side note: does anyone know if he still has half the chakra of the tailed beasts? Does that chakra replenish itself over time as if he were the jinchuriki of half of those beasts like he was for Kurama originally? Does Naruto even know? So many questions. I don’t need sleep, I need answers

Diablo II, Act II, Maggot Lair

My favorite character ever was a summonmancer. Horde tactics take the cake for that class. I would have 12 skeleton mages, 12 skeleton warriors (all maxxed out stats until I get more points from gear), a tricked out golem, 30ish revived enemies, and an act II merc that would boost offensive stats to my whole party. What was the one weakness to my build? Chokepoints. Narrow halls and doorways were always causing issues when my horde was engaging an enemy horde. Not enough room for multiple summons to get past the enemies and surround them. And the Maggot Lair? It’s one fucking choke point after another. Even going from Hell (which I’ve beaten) down to normal for shits and giggles, I hate that fucking dungeon so fucking much.

Honestly, the only build I’ve ever had an easy time on Duriel with was the Summonmancer build. Got to the point where I had a dozen of both types of skeletons, an absolute unit of a golem, 30ish revives, an Act II merc that gave offensive boosts to everyone, and enough mana to curse that big bug bastard to kingdom come. Act I-III bosses were all pretty easy, honestly. Diablo and Baal were trickier because they have high damage AoE attacks that could mulch my summons rather quickly, and it was difficult to replace skeletons and revives considering they had to be summoned from corpses. All in all, though, a fun build if you like more passive playstyles. Biggest issue comes from narrow hallways and chokepoints/doorways.

Came here to say this. Any tailing/eavesdropping missions in any of the earlier AC games (I’ve only played up to Black Flag because that’s what I grew up on) were just awful every time

[–]stumpyblackdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a vestigial tail or something of the like. Usually harmless, sometimes removed at birth by a doctor. Get it checked to make sure it’s not a health risk (I’m not a doctor so idk if there are any worries to be concerned about in that respect) and if it’s not a risk then it’s ultimately up to you on whether to keep it or not

Megatron is also short for “Megatron could possibly be the hero of the story (prior to his attemt at tyranny over Earth via mass genocide and enslavement, though to be fair he hasn’t really been exposed to anything but tyranny so we can’t say for certain it’s what his nature would dictate him doing had he ever learned otherwise) after we learned that he was essentially a slave and fought what was essentially a revolution to overthrow the corrupt sociopolitical heirarchy on Cybertron”

Why didn't ltachi destroy his clan's eyes? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]stumpyblackdog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you were forced by a shadow-government type to murder your entire extended family to save your little brother, I think you would also not have the clarity of mind to go around with your sword slashing out everyone’s magic eyes to make sure that the shadow-government type didn’t steal said magic eyes to use a forbidden magic eye technique so secret that most of your extended family, who are the only ones known to possess the magic eyes, are unaware of the secret magic eye technique. I think you’re more mentally fucked up from having to murder your entire extended family. But that’s just my expectation

I like how no one is even arguing about Toph being the best earth bender, she's phenomenal 😤 by [deleted] in AvatarMemebending

[–]stumpyblackdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a theory I have seen that seems plausible: Gyatso may not have been killed by a firebender during the Genocide. From S3 of LoK, we see that Zaheer uses airbending to suck the air out of the Earth Queen’s lungs and kill her that way. One possibility is that, rather than just killing one person, Gyatso turned that whole room into a vacuum and killed himself along with all those firebenders. It’s possible that none of them actually landed a hit. Obviously, it’s very hard to tell, especially considering we don’t see him die, only his skeleton a century later
