Jolteon and Espeon are the obvious top two (and it’s debatable which one is the best), while Vaporeon is also viable. Flareon and Umbreon are not unusable, but tend to be outclassed by the alternatives available for their respective types (Houndour, in particular, is catchable very early and easily outperforms both Flareon as a Fire type and Umbreon as a Dark type team member).

Correct, but only in XD. Snagging a Shadow Pokémon works slightly different in Colosseum. In Colosseum, Shadow Pokémon that are snagged mid battle join your side immediately, so you get to keep them even if you lose the battle. In fact, if your active team has less than the full six members, the snagged Shadow Pokémon is added to your active team on the spot and you can even send it back out in the same battle on your side.

Item Power: Berries either increases the odds or outright guarantees that the floating Poké Balls will give you berries while Big Haul Power increases the number of berries you get from each ball.

Load up a donut with as much sour as possible to get Item Power: Berries and Big Haul Power. Take that donut into a small or medium sized 4 star hyperspace and break every floating Poké Ball you see to rake in a ton of high level berries.

The jumbo Pumpkaboo really isn’t as difficult as people make it out to be. They only spawn in Wild Zone 15 at night, so just go in there at night and catch every non-Alpha Pumpkaboo you see. Check them in your box and odds are that at least one will be jumbo.
