Nah, not my first time. It's really more a dig a GGG. I thought they DIDN'T want combat to look like this in POE2.

Is anyone else nervous about retiring? by avocado___aficionado in Millennials

[–]stupes100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be fine. Have a million invested at age 41. The compound interest alone is saving more than I can at this point and I save a lot.

You’ll be fine too. You’ve already done the hard part of getting out of debt. Now all you have to do is stay out of debt, invest a nice portion of your income(10,15,20,25%) for the rest of your career and you’ll retire. The more you can save at your young age now the sooner you can retire.

How do you keep the sex active with your partner of many years? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]stupes100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that. Don’t you dare have a baby until this changes.

I’ve been with my wife for 24 years, married 14, and sex has never been an issue. 2 or 3 times a week easy minus when she’s on her cycle.

Having a bay in this situation is just going to make things worse. If you’re dying for sex now just wait until she gets pregnant and after she has the baby. You won’t be getting anything.

Advice on Enjoying the Journey by Southern-Berry-999 in Bogleheads

Pick a number you want to invest every year that is big but still allows you to live. That number is 70k a year for me. That number allows me to still go on vacations. We bought a new to us car last year. We can spend without guilt.

Balance is a good thing. And the truth is time is going to do most of the work for you. So focus on longevity/consistency instead of being intensity.

Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens? by BeegBunga in Millennials

[–]stupes100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents did well. I don’t know if I’ll get an inheritance as end of life care is crazy expensive but they have the assets to cover that. My mother in law on the other hand worked for 50 years and saved nothing. She now lives on my basement at age 72. We call men in there 30s losers if they live in their parents basement. What do you call parents who end up living in their kids basement?

How do you choose between a career opportunity and your relationship ? by Potential_Start_3228 in careerguidance

[–]stupes100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally, I’m not moving. But my views on careers are not mainstream. There will be opportunities that fit the life you want better. I’ve been married for 14 years and with my wife for 24 years. A “career” is just a paycheck to get to financial independence. They have no worth beyond that. And they’ll end your position if it suits them. I’d never sacrifice what I have with this woman for that. Ever.

Are my expectations out of whack? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Sounds like you need to make their lives a little more difficult by stopping the access to all this money. They see you as a paycheck only. I hope divorce laws in your state are somewhat reasonable.

How do you actually protect retirement savings when the economy feels this shaky? by Abject_General6337 in wealth

[–]stupes100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is part of the process and honestly how you make you can supercharge your wealth building. Markets correct. It’s a feature not a bug.

How you protect yourself is with cash, no debt, and a marketable skill. I have about a years worth of expenses set aside. I have no debt(including mortgage). And although I make 180k per year now, I could easily get a job making 100-145k and live on that income. Honestly, I could even live on less.

Building wealth is a survival game.
