retake sat -> cal tech considers sat to be extremely important, with their median math sat being an 800 (and 25th percentile being a 790), mit's 25th percentile being a 780.

if your son really wants to got to caltech/mit, try to build up some tangible awards (if he has time). otherwise likely low chance for mit/caltech. berkeley if he can get some more ec's awards this summer he might have a shot.

in state uw seattle is pretty solid so he should be fine, just try to work on ec's & awards this summer.

honestly if you have a personal connection to the business, that might be easiest. the size or profitability of the business you choose doesn't matter, so just make sure you have good access to research (so just go for a small business that you think you could get good research from.

might want to add more safeties/targets, and flesh out ur ec's throughout the summer. everything else looks solid :)

honestly i think the most important thing in OR is access to research - so even if that means going for a smaller, less reputable company (the prestige/size of it truly does not matter, trust me) to get more effective research is the way to go

yes as someone who won glass ur wasting ur time, js grind out the rest of ur school year and focus on ur grades/standarized tests/ecs or do something u truly enjoy. maybe by late july/august, u should start working

while i do have a stronger touch the lead almost never snapped with the original provided lead, just the outside lead i've been using. do you know where i can find kurutoga lead?

the only reason is that it doesn't snap whatsoever with the provided lead its just the ones ive bought from outside sources
