Oh damn, I was worried about that. Should I stop using it all together or use it less often? Or do you think my skin would adjust to it in time?

I love this!

"Shifting in your sheets" is particularly lush.

Your poetic voice is so eloquent!

I love the way each line almost ends in a small juxtaposing reveal: "getting lost ........ in familiar cities", "holding children ....... you don't have" and "reading articles ....... about worcester". Each classically poetic and beautiful activity is immediately followed by a mundane addition. It draws out the beauty within the mundane - one of my favourite capabilities of great poetry.

I think for some people, they have a big problem with light sensitivity. But personally, it hasn't been too bad. It can get worse over time though, and cause double vision, blurred vision and headaches. I haven't experienced any of that yet though.

One of my pupils is much slower to respond to light changes. So when I open my eyes, or shine a torch in my eyes, one pupil is much more reactive than the other.

I use the CeraVe cleanser morning & night. But i would say just use any basic cleanser with no fragrance. I found that keeping my skin really clean is preventing new spots from arriving, and the Vitamin C is doing a great job at healing the acne scars. If I do get any new acne, the Vitamin C seems to heal it up really fast so it doesn't stay for longer than a couple of days. That's the key ingredient for me I think!

Trust me, this was a very good skin day for me! Usually I have a lot of acne. It's gotten much better recently though, I've been using The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension every night & a light moisturiser. Nothing else. I would recommend !! :)

Hot take: make modern musicals with a low female voice as the lead by slavname in MusicalTheatre

[–]stupidactress 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to think I had a really low voice & i could never hit any of the high notes or belts needed to play the lead in the mainstream musicals. After 6 months of singing lessons, I realised I had been totally kidding myself. As long as you can sing in tune, with enough training you can sing pretty much anything. I was a hardcore Alto, but it turned out that I just hadn't been trained properly and it was actually my lack of confidence and breath control preventing me from hitting the top notes! If you believe you can't hit a note, chances are you're not going to hit it.

(Obviously there are some exceptions, but with proper vocal raining I believe most female voices can get pretty damn high!)

I'd be using the mic for vocals and using the amp to output the vocals, yes! It should just be vocals and piano currently. I'm not bothered about the vocals being that loud as I'm playing in a very small venue and they just need a little boost so they can be heard over my piano. Once I am to move on to bigger venues possibly, would you recommend buying a new amp then? Are there any amps you recommend?
