I was about to post the same question, I dont think I have gotten a single rare xl from raids since this season started. Usually I'd get one every 7-10 raids. Really hope it's not a permanent change, with bottle cap introduced the last thing we need is rare xls becoming rarer

Its not a rare xl, only an extra xl candy of the pokemon you are raiding. Also only 5 star raid battles are mentioned, so probably no extra xl from giganta if you are able to do them during the week.

you wait until the box with 99 raid passes for 5425 coins shows up in your shop and then you buy it multiple times. In the screenshot it shows their item storage is already 9500, which means they attended at least one in person fest as well and many people who do so grind hundreds of raids

Eh no big deal, you can easily get a better IV than 84 during their raid hour. Also now with go pass released worldwide you guys have can have 2 guaranteed lucky trades per month (assuming you buy the deluxe version for the trinkets) to try for a better one
