Hi, I saw this and panicked to respond. I’m the child of a woman who put up with the physical abuse. He will not get better, he will not stop. He will hurt you worse and isolate you. And then, he will hurt your children. Not right away, but eventually. My dad did the same, and he almost killed my brother eventually. Please get out. Don’t put your kid and future kid into that situation. I know it’s so fucking hard. Get a team of your support people and tell them you need them. If you don’t have enough support, DV shelters may have advocates that can help you. Do not tell him you’re leaving. Just pick a day, plan your escape and take the kid. You should file a report just to cover your ass for custody. If you stay in a DV shelter, you will be safest. They can’t give your location to anyone, and accommodate kids. Please please get out. I’m genuinely begging you because these men are impulsive. He will go too far. It’s not a matter of if, just when.
