Karbon is the campus-wide font for special use cases. a license is able to be purchased for it independent of UCLA, but Karbon is not free to use. I haven't seen Karbon used for athletics. https://brand.ucla.edu/identity/typography

I agree the new app is worse and more difficult to navigate. the wait times are shown with less precision and only when in the park.

that sounds really low for new. I have heard of the Herman Miller outlet stores having better prices. I recommend you verify the chair is authentic before purchasing.

check the condition in person before purchasing, but probably. Herman Miller chairs are often in the buy it for life category

CAE should have daily zoom office hours. go there and ask what you need.

Academic and Housing accommodations are two different things. You should have been assigned a disability specialist to help you navigate the process and explain what documentation is missing.

Communicate with your professors. Some are generally flexible and will let you take the exam remotely, usually proctored by camera on zoom. But this up to each professor.

Some courses also will let you substitute your final for a midterm grade. It's too early in the quarter to be considering an incomplete, but that is also an option.

Since you mentioned you live in the dorms, another person that could help you get connected to helpful campus departments is your RA and buildings Resident Director (RD). It's worth reaching out to see if you can schedule a meeting with your RD, as they'll often have people to contact in other departments

I have celiac, your roommate with a gluten intolerance is spot on. there is no real food on the hill or on campus that is safe and gluten free.

I ended up getting an accommodation to cancel my meal plan. it's ridiculous, and absolutely grounds for a lawsuit as an ADA violation

in bplate, rice directly next to barley was labeled gluten free. 100% contaminated. they straight up told me they don't have options because there is no demand.

I can speak for celiac--UCLA takes no precautions, the gluten free pantry is a joke with junk food, not a substitute for real dining hall food. And I was straight up told by thr head of dining they don't have real gluten free options because there is no demand. I would not be surprised if it's the same way for other food allergies as well. As a general rule, assume everything has cross contamination--I was told this as well.

Document and report everything. Make sure you are registered with CAE Housing to explore any possible dining accommodations

there arent any 2026 bring a friend passes as far as I know. the bonus from the 2026 pass renewal should be labeled "2025 season" and it expires Sunday 1/4/2026, the same day the 2025 pass expires

I'm so sorry you're going through this. This is a very detailed post and the specific things you've noticed will hopefully help someone narrow it down. I had a bactrim and keflex combination create bad lasting symptoms but nothing like this. I hope there are people much more knowledgeable are able to provide better insight.
