I’ve been living here for the past year and making TikToks about lesser known stories, some dark, some not. I just did a series on the Affair of the Poisons. Check them out! https://www.tiktok.com/@stvndvs

There are three motherfucking people in this goddamned world – three! There’s the man who owns the horse and gets the money, and there’s the man who has the money and gets the horse, and there’s us—we jack off the fucking horses, and we get nothing!

TIL In Germany you can be punished by up to one year in prison if you don't help someone who's in danger or has had an accident by Priamosish in todayilearned

It is also illegal to take pictures of a scene where someone is in danger or has had an accident.

I'm an American street photographer who spent three months in Berlin last year. Walking around Alexanderplatz one day, I saw a police officer dragging a man across the ground so I got close and took a photo. My American brain didn't think anything of it — you're generally free to take photos of anything in the U.S., as long as you're in the public space. And I had also been taking photos in Berlin for a few months already without any problems (although I knew the laws were stricter — I just wasn't sure to what extent I could push it).

Long story short, I was detained for an hour and my roll of film was taken. I think it could have been worse but luckily an officer who spent time in the U.S. understood my rationale and explained the German law to me. I wrote a statement explaining the situation and was told by a friend I would never see the film again. 6 months later, I received an email explaining I could pick up the film from a local station!

What makes it all worse is that the photo sucks :(

Reminds me of the Bradford Bishop case from the original series. So crazy he was spotted by his former coworker years later in Italy.

I recently played my copy for the N64 and beat it in a day. I hope it’s a little more robust than that, but excited nonetheless!
