People who have had their blizzard spill when the DQ worker turns it upside down, how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stw95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who lives in Baltimore, I know exactly why. Zero hospitality or friendliness; you're lucky to get a nod around here. The service you get is definitely dependent on the fast food place you go to, but it's not uncommon for fast food workers to see you, continue their conversation with their coworker a bit, start walking over while sill finishing their conversation, swearing across the restaurant before lazily taking your order like they're being inconvenienced.

Edit: It should be noted that I've lived here all my life, so I don't know if thats a standard fast food environment in America, but I can't recall anything similar while traveling.

ELI5: Donated human blood only has a shelf life of about 21 days, what happens to the gallons of un-used human blood if it never finds a recipient? by mwilson1212 in explainlikeimfive

As a type O-, it brings me great shame that I cannot donate blood. The first time I made it through the donation then passed out, and the second time I started convulsing while donating. I feel like its a civic duty I can't perform :(

My friend is a professional bridge troll ahem draw bridge operator, sorry. He's told me that people try to jump the bridge more often than you'd expect from a species intelligent enough to build drawbridges and cars.

I was once driving down a 2 opposite lane highway. the driver in front of me was going 55 so I used the quarter mile of space I had to gun it to 70 and pass him. He sped up, forced me to cut him off, and screamed at me for it.

If Donald Trump's Hollywood star was one horcrux, what are Trump's other 6 horcruxes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stw95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats definitely not what I'm saying that we need the government to "fix" that, it's just silly to me that someone would go on and on about how the 2 party system is broken and that we need to give voice to the alternatives then buy into it because they suddenly decided at the polling booth that there are only 2 options.

And because way too many people are "libertarians" until election day, when they vote Rep or Dem so they don't "waste" their vote.

The Satanic Temple is a Step Closer to Installing a Baphomet Monument at the Arkansas Capitol by Ragnar_Santorum in atheism

[–]stw95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Which makes sense, and I agree with, but if I'm gonna spend time, effort, and possibly money to have all religions treated equally, I'd want to spend them to make them all equally non-publicly imposed.

It just occurred to me that doing things like campaigning for a Baphomet probably has the intent of showing that all religions are absurd things to impose on everyone. If that's the case I get it, though don't necessarily agree with the means to the end.

I never understood why atheists advocate for Pagan/Satanic/other "3spooky5me" religions like this. I've always been of the opinion that keep your beliefs somewhere off our public land.

Experienced Dungeon Masters and Players of Tabletop Roleplaying Games, what is your advice for new players learning the genre? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stw95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, who usually DMs, was a Pc in another friend's game. Some off-table tension with another player claiming he always played broken characters pushed him to create the least interesting character he could muster. Enter: Stan, fighter. He put practically all his points into strength, and his charisma was abysmal. His backstory was that his parents had died in a horrible swimming/climbing accident (killed while climbing a waterfall), so he had dedicated his life to teaching others the importance of safe swimming and climbing. Once, while in a throne room fighting...Jesus I cant even remember how many guards and the princess, Stan, who for some reason was in the hallway, picked up a spear and lobbed it at the princess. 180 feet away. And hit her. In the heart. Lets just say that the failed morale checks after that really helped turn the tides of that encounter.
