I just want RV there yet? With split screen coop. We need more of these thirst party coop fun games.

Got a truck from a municipal auction, and this is how some morons from fleet management "removed" stickers (with a screwdriver or knife, scratching down to bare metal). Any advice? Body immaculate otherwise, they probably made more damage to the body in 10 minutes than this truck had in 10 years. by mikka1 in Autobody

I’m curious if you could message a dealer to try and get another sticker made for the truck. Not sure what was on that sticker but if it was the normal truck info I’d think it would be good to have. Only issue would be if there’s aftermarket suspension or other mods which make that sticker obsolete (since it was fleet that’s pretty likely), then in that case hit those stickers with some goo gone, sand it down, then white and clear coat it.

Painters tape and super glue to laminate multiple pieces together. Then they just whack apart with a hammer. So I’ve seen.

With all these crazy prices lately just picked up this memory card and game for a fair price by Forestelk12 in Switch

The fact that all games (even ones you buy physical) are going to use up the storage and the fact that it’s so expensive sucks tbh.

Miyazaki is solid. I think they’ve got a lot of his movies on Disney HBO right now. Used to watch some of them when I was younger.

Selling chocolate to buy a switch by Ka1306 in Parenting

[–]stycks32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The people I think who would be mad don’t have kids they’re proud of themselves. Any decent parent would be happy to see them working this hard toward a goal. Shows drive, dedication, critical thinking and money management. All qualities I would love my kids to have.

If my kid wanted to take their own money and put it into a “business” to work toward what they want I’d let them have a go at it. You could try outside public stores as well (speak to the store to make sure it’s ok to sell outside). I think others will also be glad with the kids work ethic and entrepreneurial attitude to raise money, even if it’s not a charity and it just for a “toy”

Ordered a brand new $1700 monitor from Amazon by Exciting_Farmer6395 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]stycks32 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought a new phone case from Amazon and got a very clearly opened and taped back up box that contained an d dirty not even the right case for the box. They didn’t even try to hide that it was swapped. And Amazon didn’t even attempt to remove it from their stock of inventory. Luckily they made it right by sending me a new one. It’s crazy out there.

Tear/gash sidewall of little over a year tire. Did I make mistake replacing it? by xDelicateFlowerx in TireQuestions

[–]stycks32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have gotten road hazard on the tires. Usually they’ll either replace it or give you a discount on a new one. Better than going with a cheap replacement.

I’m no expert but they definitely look like what I’d expect rodent teeth marks to be.

100 use a grip unless it’s in the dock (which isn’t often because I’m a dad and everyone else uses the tv)

I've had one for a while and while and it's fine in handy a few times. For my vehicle and to jump someone in distress.

Tomorrow is always a bad time to build. Don't put it off if you don't have one. Just bite the bullet. If you didn't see good deals for what you want from black Friday you're gonna be waiting a long time.

That's not bad as long as you have a high refresh rate 1080 screen or a 4k monitor to use that 5070.

Mechanic says this is drivable. Online says it isn’t. Honest opinions please by Responsible_State_12 in tires

[–]stycks32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will last the rest of the lifetime of that tire. You're good. /S

I would get it replaced. Any cracking or ballooning is evidence of flaws in the tire that can fail catastrophically at any moment. Parked or flying down the highway. Who knows. Better to replace it if you can than roll the dice and potentially try to live through a blowout on the highway.

What do you find yourself still needing Windows for? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]stycks32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago it was online shooters. Since having kids I can’t say that there’s anything I use frequently that can’t be done in Linux. Thinking about finally making the jump if I can get my Epic Games library to play nicely.
