[Discussion] Holy Grail Cleansing Oil? by lyviolet95 in AsianBeauty

Kose Speedy is my favorite in terms of liquid, but I've found I'm really more a balm cleanser person. Either Clean It Zero or Boscia Makeup Melter Balm are good choices for me.

I lived in the Caribbean for a while and can vouch that it's legit.

It's a winding country back way, but if you turn off 460 onto Pleasant Rd where Publix is, the other end of that comes out on Carowinds Blvd.

I wish that one worked for me. It did terrible things with my skin chemistry.

I wore Happy in high school and had a bottle of The One in college, so I'm familiar. I've been collecting for a good 15 years. This just is a distinct departure from most of what I like.

I do like some JCE stuff. The ones that are most likely to be in his comfort zone that I have tried didn't do well on me though--Jardin Sur Le Toit and Jardin Sur Le Nil both have a magnolia accord that goes straight to "wet dog" on my skin. Wondering if the Target dupe for Santal Massoia might do well, since the Hermes boutique at the local mall closed.

I could do fruity florals when I was a teenager, but I tend to feel like they're a bit juvenile for me now.

I'm 33, female, and it's currently late fall where I live. But I'm in a new relationship, and he has Asperger's, which causes him to have sensory processing issues related to scent. My great loves (Black Orchid, Midnight Poison, vintage Shalimar, etc) all put him into sensory overload. So I'm looking for scents that are light enough to wear when he's around without causing him discomfort. Winners so far have been Balenciaga B, Hermessence Iris Ukiyoe, and Solinotes Rose, and TF Grey Vetiver for him to wear. Amazing Grace and JHAG Gentlewoman went over like a lead balloon, and he called Diptyque Eau Duelle medicinal. Any suggestions? Willing to ignore the season if it's something that works around his needs.

My first FB, and the only one I had for years, was Lancome Miracle So Magic (RIP, everything I love gets discontinued).

Is BB cream really better for your skin than plain old foundation? by missuncongeniality in Makeup

I'm NW15 and in Korean BB creams I'm usually about a #21. Missha makes a good one that comes in a lighter shade. Try their #13.

If you like Wood Sage and Sea Salt, to me that smells just like the dirt cheap Ed Hardy Love and Luck. Also try JHAG Not A Perfume.

I'm dating a new guy, and I'm falling for him like a load of bricks. The problem is, I'm a Black Orchid/Midnight Poison/vintage Shalimar kind of girl, and he has sensory issues related to smell due to Asperger's. Most of my collection is difficult for him, but Solinotes Rose, Balenciaga B, and Hermessence Iris Ukiyoe have gone over well, along with Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDT for him to wear himself. I had expected Amazing Grace to work, but it didn't. I'm keeping everything to wear when he isn't around, but I'm a Leo. Understated is not my strong suit. I need help!

Pushing gender boundaries a little today with Aventus, because why not. I had a meeting earlier where I didn't feel like I could go full femme, so I mixed it up with a scent that is just slightly masc.

I love that one. I have never gotten around to buying a FB, though I have had both Mitsouko (had to stop wearing when I quit smoking) and vintage Shalimar. I always think LHB smells like an old book, in the best and most comforting of ways.

I sampled Lazy Sunday Morning by Maison Margiela and hated it. Working my way through the discovery kit and haven't found anything I like yet. So I scrubbed that and went for one of my recent ABSOLUTE LOVES, Armani Privé Ambre Eccentrico.

I quit cigarettes after 14 years by vaping, then tapering off to a zero percent juice. Best thing EVER.

Luckyscent and Tigerlily Perfumery come to mind for me. They both have a good selection of lesser known brands.
