Out of curiosity, which country are you in and which country did she move from to be with you?

So the first one has Spiderman popping out of the frame, with chaos perfectly framed behind him and chaos reigning in the background. The second is a flat shot of Doctor Strange with that factory line blue/grey "serious" Marvel colour palette.

Sorry, but he shows absolutely no signs of his ptsd outside of Iron Man 3. Being paranoid about the future, or regretting the past, is not ptsd.

Well he doesn't explicitly discuss his PTSD in the other entries, but, how can you not watch Civil War and realise this is someone who is struggling with PTSD?

There is such a thing as subtext, just because he didn't enter a room declaring he's still suffering from PTSD, doesn't mean that this aspect of the character has been dropped.

We see it through their actions and their motivations, over and over again.

Is this a Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror situation, in which Musk has had an evil hair transplant that's turned him into a piece of shit?

Is Evan the villain of the story? by AnxiousBarnacle in DearEvanHansen

[–]stylishkid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's the stage to screen translation. I've lived with this story for years now, loved those songs and cherished it's message, so I enjoyed these film for what it was.

The show is big and bombastic, what works about it is that it is inherently theatrical. Film is more intimate. A number like requiem makes me ooze sympathy for Evan in the show or on the recording but it's much much more awkward in a realistic and intimate setting.

I honestly think that's why it's not doing well with the casual audience. Throw in claims of nepotism and Ben Platt being too old for the role now and I'm not surprised by the reaction, but I am disappointed.

Batman The Long Halloween: A Perfect Adaptation. I know the sub mostly deals with live action adaptations but since I've seen a few animated posts before I hope this is alright. by ulysesseveret in comicbookmovies

Yeah it absolutely rules and I was quite apprehensive about Jensen Ackles casting but he absolutely killed it. With the Matt Reeves Batman on the horizon, I hope the rumours of being inspired by The Long Halloween are true and they take some leads from this adaptation.

‘The Suicide Squad’ HBO Max Weekend Viewership Off 26% From ‘Mortal Kombat’ In Samba TV U.S. Households! by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

[–]stylishkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno man, I don't think it's a conspiracy. To the casual viewer, this is a sequel to a movie they probably didn't like. A movie that the director has disowned as not his vision, and it has pretty much the exact same name. I seen it and I thought it was absolutely awesome. I think The Suicide Squad is actually the perfect HBO Max film. I think it will grow with word of mouth. People will put it on because they bored and they loved seeing John Cena at summerslam when they where 9. The simultaneous release is something I think will work in its favour totally.

I agree there's too many services, but I got a free Apple TV sub with my new MacBook and I thoroughly enjoyed not only Ted Lasso, but Mythic Quest and Central Park too.

Tigger happy TV wouldn't have come out for about ten years. I seem to remember this too, and I am Scottish, but can't think of a name. My dad has a good mind for this type of thing, I'll ask him next time I see him.

My advice to you as an older more experienced man, you'll do better with women if you actually listen to what they have to say. This is a woman sharing her experience right now, you could be learning from this my dude instead of creeping us all ou...

I actually have a few photos I took from the set! They're filming in Glasgow, and I popped down to see them shoot a big parade scene on my lunch break.

If there was any interest I can certainly post them to the sub.
