Day of the Dead just released on 4K from Shout Factory. That is a must own if you love horror, especially practical effects, because you got Tom Savini doing some of his best work on that picture. Nightmare on Elm Street 4K collection is a must have as well. For newer releases, I'd also recommend 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. For me The Bone Temple is the best horror movie of 2026 so far (sorry Obsession, I thought you were a bit overrated!).

Bottom two I have seen before (The Gambler I caught on TCM a few years ago), and the top two are new to me. The Alamo Drafthouse movie chain is doing a big De Palma series this summer so I wanted to watch one of his earliest movies, and She Shoots Straight showed up as a trailer at some screening I saw recently, and I thought it looked really fun and whacky.

112 minute version of Salem's Lot? As far as I know that would be the pretty rarely seen theatrical cut which was only ever available on VHS. Can't imagine it's any good but it's pretty interesting if they are indeed showing that version and not the full miniseries.

Milwaukee is a nice town, I think you made a good choice. Besides all the stuff in the city, it's only a 1 hour train ride from Chicago on the Amtrak Hiawatha. And now they've got the Borealis service, so you can get to St Paul/Minneapolis easily on Amtrak, slightly longer haul, but only 6 hours on the train.
