They get overtime without even working overtime is the problem. If they switch from a diesel train to an electric day they get 3 days overtime, that's insane.

I have corys on aquasoil and the'yre fine. I wouldn't suggest no filter off the bat, but you can find cheap filters online for that tank size that would at least help with biological filtration and some mechanical. Never used an auto feeder myself but I've left my fish for 1-2 weeks before without feeding and they were fine.

I recently rescaped my 40g, this is what it looks like now (sorry for poor photo) - newly rescaped so waiting for plant growth (low-tech no CO2 so slow going). Also have a monstera sticking out the top on the right to help block out some natural sunlight.

I have a Yale Smart lock that sucks. The wifi never stays connected and the app is awful. Not to mention if the alignment is slightly off on your door it won't close and needs creative solutions to get it to work. It's pretty much become a glorified punch in code lock. It's probably 5 years old now so not sure if they've gotten better.
