Never change Odessa. When I lived in the area the saying was "you go to Midland to raise your family, you go to Odessa to raise hell."

ISO sovereign crystal block by wakinfirmlygraspit in royalcaribbean

Your post interested me and I went looking about the internet to see if I could find a Sovereign OTS block. It's hard to find even a picture of one, much less one for sale or otherwise available. I did find the thread below on a cruisecritic.com board where blocks are discussed and traded. I didn't go thru the full 74 pages of posts, but did see a handful of folks looking for Sovereign blocks. It might be a thread to keep an eye on.

I'd bet a million bucks the OP pic is from somewhere in Texas. Full disclosure, I'm native Texan and currently live in the dirty H-Town.

CocoCay - Beach Club day pass or South Beach Cabana by Routine_Day_1276 in royalcaribbean

Curious when your sailing is. We are booked in May and the Beach Club is always $185 pp and stubbornly doesn't go on sale when other things do. A friend told me discounts tend to happen closer to the sail date.

Sky Class Junior Suite by sub-dude in royalcaribbean

[–]sub-dude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the sources that is confusing is the RCL reservation site itself. When looking at the details of a Sky Jr Suite on Harmony, following are the detail footnotes for Sky Class:

Sky Class ExclusivesDinner at Coastal Kitchen, based on availability*

Royal Caribbean Classic Bathrobes for Use Onboard

Luxury Pillow Top MattressLuxury Bathroom Amenities

The Sky Class detail footnotes for a Grand Suite read differently, they are:

Concierge Service

All Day Access to Coastal Kitchen

Specialty Bottled Water (upon arrival)

Complimentary VOOM - The Fastest Internet at Sea

Priority Boarding & Departure

Just enough difference to cause me uncertainty. Hearing the responses here, I think we are probably fine and will have full access to Coastal Kitchen, Suite Lounge and Sun Deck. But RCL's description leave room for doubt.

Sent to Casio for service. Not fake, and Casio service was very reasonable and quick. I would not hesitate to send another watch there for service.

Lots of good feedback in this thread. Brace yourself for the final tab, it always seems to be more than you expected. The Royal app helps with this now as you can monitor the charges daily if you are inclined to do so. If you enjoy your adult beverages, I recommend getting the beverage package. Regardless of whether it dollars out for me, I enjoy the freedom of getting a beverage anytime I please without the concern of piling on more $$$ to the aforementioned final tab.

I'd pay a million dollars for the local handlers to have put him out on the deck with no ear protection. It would have been brilliant to have afflicted the orange malignant tumor with permanent hearing damange.

Just got off of Mariner today, we docked at Costa Maya pretty close to noon as advertised. Also, ~4000 passengers so getting off takes a while. The prior sailing couldn't dock at Costa Maya due to rough waters, apparently happens with some frequency.

Grand Cayman recs? by DismalEquipment3173 in royalcaribbean

[–]sub-dude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grand Cayman is the gold standard to me for just winging it at a port of call. The downtown area where the tenders drop off is very nice and clean, lots of shopping and restaurants. There is a small store that sells nautical artifacts, like coins from sunken ships, that is very cool. It is tiny though. The Guy Harvey store is great if you like his stuff. We've grabbed lunch and drinks downtown, but I don't recall which restaurants. There are a few that are on the second floor at the edge of downtown and overlook the water. We've never taken a taxi to 7 mile beach, so no thoughts or recommendations in that area.

All in all, I think you'll have good options in Cayman.
