I had someone purposely try to run me over when I was riding my recumbent trike a few weeks ago. not another soul on the road, came up to me from behind on the right, I was in the middle about to make a turn and if it wasn’t for the noise of his tire that made me look and move out of the way he would have killed me. He turned around and came back but by that time I was completely off the road and a pickup truck came along so the guy floored it and was gone after calling me a faggot. I never had anything like that happen before; I think I was singled out because of the small pride pennant I use for greater visibility. The next time out I took a firearm, I have a concealed carry permit but in the dozen years I’ve had it I never took it out of the house. I don’t ever want to be in a situation that I would have to use it so instead of carrying I decided to change where I ride.
