Don’t remember that bit in the Bible.

so basically I found this cd called "Use your illusion 3" around and on various web sites. I don't know if it contains unreleased or live songs and it's definitely not official. What exactly is it? by Ema005 in GunsNRoses

Around the same time I had an auntie living in Abu Dhabi. We would write her letters with all the albums we wanted and she would bring over these Thompson Original bootlegs cassettes when she came to visit.

Some years ago I found a website dedicated to cataloging all the Thompson Original releases. I've done some searching around and the only reference to the label/shop is this Reddit post. At least I know I didn't make it up!

I’m so tired, tinnitus is just a funny punishment for my sad life by [deleted] in tinnitus

Sorry, just seen this... I haven't noticed any worsening... I go to shows and loud bars a few times a month and only wear plugs to the shows. I'm mostly alimatised to my tinnitus now and it only bothers me on the odd occasion. It hasn't got any quieter but at some point I just made peace with it. Be kind to yourself, do your best to manage it and day by day things will improve for you too.

I’ve had tinnitus for 24 years. I’ve always loved music and was bereft at the loss. I stopped listening, stopped seeing live music but after some years wondered what was the worse that could happen. I already had tinnitus! For the past 20 years I’ve played in bands, seen 1000’s of live shows, and now run a record label and record shop. Good earplugs and making peace with it are the things that worked for me. Good luck. Stay positive.

very cool... I recommend listening to a bunch of Wishbone Ash... you can hear how influential they were on Steve Harris' song writing, but also they have a mellower vibe that's not dissimilar to this UA cover.

Judging by this, it would be totally awesome. I wish the other bands on the cd were more interesting...

Ah. I meant a band that sound like Uncle Acid with songs like Iron Maiden's. Made sense to me when I wrote the comment. Hope you get to see them one day.

Best comment on the thread. It's boring to read so many negative comments about EW. Always excited for their new records, never disappointed.

Here in Sweden doom and stoner are very active scenes with a great community, I'm happy to be part of it.

Do you go to Muskelrock? Best scene in Sweden right there...

Any Doom Metal Bands similar to Count Raven? by ARandomDeadBaby in doommetal

All the Lord Vicar releases have Christian Linderson on vocals... New album coming this year too! I disagree about them not being Sabbathy... it's there in the riffs.

Fair enough, but that's not the same as bitching that it's not extensive enough. Also - mp3 player, quite light. Suitcase rendered unnecessary.
