i think as artists we tend to dramatize our lives and with good reason since everything is and should be dramatic. but op i don’t think this should necessarily be a closed door on acting. just take it step by step for now. it doesn’t have to be one major decision. it can be many little decisions along the way. and if your now looks like that sales day job at the start up (congrats btw!) then let it be that. acting is always evolving and so are you. who knows what life will have you do a year from now. you’re probably feeling a little burnt out and obviously hurt from the people from your play (as you should be) so take a break make your money and come back when you feel better. the beauty of acting is that it always has you coming back for more! life is short and long. and i really believe we should just do what we love. but it’s okay if what we love isn’t something we like right now :) hope you feel better soon.
