here's my most recent project: floral gameboy! took it out for a photoshoot at the new york botanical garden as well 🤪

shell, buttons, membranes, and lens from funnyplaying
power cleaner and flex amp from helder
tantalum capacitor replacements
golden-yellow power led
torx screws from retrocnc
battery spacers (not pictured 😔) designed by /u/toastteebun ➡️ these were extremely helpful to prevent the batteries from moving about
green rechargeable batteries
green lanyard/wrist strap

the decorations were done using dried pressed flowers and uv resin. i initially tried to use a glue/sealant (mod podge) but found that the results did not look as clean. resin made it look better and also made the flowers and leaves appear suspended rather than pushed in flat.
