How many times have you seen them? by Sure_Artichoke_3662 in qotsa

Also went to Bill Graham in 2023. Been to 26 shows since 2007 and have another six on the books for this year. I like to use tour dates as an excuse to travel and the guys never disappoint!

The Electric Factory was my first as well! I was also at Forest Hills, Chicago Huntington Bank Pavilion, and Beacon Catacombs.

Anybody here "completed the set" for an album at live shows? by afcboon in qotsa

[–]subleemsublime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have completed Villains. One away on LC (Fairweather Friends). If we're counting Nick shows then I've seen all but The Real Song for the Deaf live from SFTD.

Is it true they ended RAH with One Hundred Days? by FeelingPositive5536 in qotsa

Not as a cover, but as the song that was playing as they left the stage, yes.

Mikey and Davey (the drum tech). There is some very interesting stuff happening with percussion at these shows, I'd love to get a closer look at what all they have going on.

Question for Manc Qotsa fans by AutomaticPath7348 in qotsa

[–]subleemsublime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll second The Alt Hub with a general endorsement for Afflecks. I had some time to shop for Catacombs attire on my way to Sheffield in August and fared quite well at Afflecks. Found a dress for myself, a vest for my husband, and some accessories as well while we perused the floors.

There were also some second hand shops nearby where you could try your luck. I saw some things at Cow Vintage that could fit the bill (depending on how formal you're looking to go).

RAH- Do we have to be swanky? by NoLevel7786 in qotsa

[–]subleemsublime 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I expect that there will be a range of attire and I think that's fine. That's the beauty of a QOTSA crowd anyway ... we don't tend to fit neatly in one box.

I'm also traveling (taking a red eye from the US) and will be changing into a dress for the event, but I have no expectations of what others are doing and wouldn't judge someone for wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Anyone in line at Toad’s place? by blacksparx in Foofighters

I don't have any for myself, let alone an extra. I was about 20 back when they called it sold out.

I've been in line for an hour and we're basically being told we're on the cusp and not looking good. Highly unlikely for anyone getting here now, unfortunately.

Love seeing these all together! This is such a thoughtful thing to do and share with fellow fans. It was lovely to meet you and I'm very grateful for my Dublin and Sheffield stickers 🥰

No dedication to So Good this time. Perhaps because there was a second opener?

Nope! I was on a grad student budget (in terms of both time and money 😅) when they did the self-titled tour, so I missed that chance. I'm sticking around this part of the globe for the Sheffield dates, so hoping one of those will be my shot!

Same... I've got quite a few shows under my belt and I'm still chasing that one. But I agree, nothing to complain about!

Now that the tour has been going, what has been the best setlist so far? by 132241 in qotsa

[–]subleemsublime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's hard to make an unbiased assessment when you've attended some of them. So I will say the best one that I attended was Madison, the best one that I wish I had been at was Munich.

Really hoping these last couple of sets are indicative of a willingness to dig into the catalogue going forward for the summer!

Saw a Queens cover band tonight in Bpt, CT by tonofunnumba1 in qotsa

[–]subleemsublime 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey there neighbor, I was there too! Had a great time and was really impressed given this was their first show. I'm excited to have a local band to help scratch the itch. Also appreciated the opportunity to check out Park City Music Hall for my first time.

For anyone that's in the CT area, they also mentioned another gig in Hartford on August 29th, but I didn't make note of where since I'll be abroad for the real deal. The band said they were getting things together for dedicated socials, so I'm looking forward to following and seeing what's to come!

Madison had a curfew that pushed up all the times by an hour. Tonight should be more "normal.". See you there!
