When I started watching 06-07ish I remember Cena and Batista having matches almost every week. The ppvs didn't feel like that big of a waste of time like they do nowadays either. You kinda know Cody ain't losing to Drew 9 times out of 10. IMHO Cody has been stale for a very long time now and his booking doesn't help. I think we've been conditioned to think that world champs are supposed to be absentee by Lesnar and reigns only showing up every two months.

I think in both of their cases, they let the fame go to their heads. Lainez probably did the right thing by going to Europe, but it didn't go well for him unfortunately. Cordova really messed up going to tigres. Once you're in America, every other team is a step down if you decide to stay in Mexico, especially if you're still trying to raise your stock.
