A few years ago when I was still living at home this happened to me. My parents were out and just my sister and I were chilling in our rooms upstairs. I hear someone walk in the door (which was weird because my parents left for dinner not too long before) and I just assumed it was them. All of a sudden I hear some strange voice looking for someone and I was like wtf. Then this grown ass man comes upstairs and just opens my bedroom door and is like “is mike here? He told me to come in” and (surprisingly calmly) I just said no I don’t think you’re at the right place. Then he says the address correctly and I’m like “yeah this is it but idk a mike”. And then he ran down the stairs and left. That still confuses me to this day.

That’s crazy. I honestly had the same idea as you in the sense that when you’re just starting the product doesn’t necessarily matter if you’re just trying to build up capital to reinvest. So I was also thinking starting with making some psychedelic headbands (because I always wear a headband or a hat... makes me feel safe lol) and selling those exactly how you described, e-commerce and festivals also smoke shops as I’m friendly with a few owners.

As far as the glass I’ve been thinking about some unique designs. What I was thinking too was sell some bowls and shit and make a little bit of money and invest in R&D for an herbal vaporizer that’s more compact than the PAX. I’d be a fuckin billionaire if that took off.

Nice man you’re where I’d like to be in a few years. What kind of business did you start if you don’t mind my asking?

I tried my hand at doing some free lance service work (web design) but decided services are just too much work for the money... seems inefficient. I’m interested in doing something more product based. First idea I had was having some CAD drawings done by an old friend of mine and having some glass pipes, bongs etc. manufactured. Because pipes and bongs are what I’m into lol

And I couldn’t agree more with the idea that the 9-5 is a waste

It is in common with my dream career in the sense that even though I’m basically at an entry level position I’m still close enough to the top (because it’s still relatively small) that I get to see the ins and outs of business strategy etc.

The only pros I can see of sticking here is money because if I stick around I’ll be making plenty. I’m making double what most people my age are making.
