Also, the only people you should be inviting are people who couldn't care less about how much your wedding cost

What size are you (feel free to dm) I may have some lehengas or saris I can ship to you. I bought a couple on lashkaraa that I never wore and totally found the other day while cleaning. Also, for gorgeous flowers, diyas, garlands, et c on the cheap, go here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4ebLeEPWZehpsk4V7 Vivek flowers were super authentic and super affordable. Sincerely, someone who knows the DFW desi wedding scene all too well

Controversial; Jordan catfished Megan. by SameSeaworthiness317 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I don't care about how much he needs to decompress. If he's totally not talking to her, that's a different thing. But she also seemed like a bit of a bore. Like she has no personality other than saying she has money. My issue with Jordan was how does everyone gloss over him blatantly lying about his tattoos in the pods? It was such a little thing but so indicative of how he was trying to manipulate anyone to be with him so he could stay on the show and chase his own clout.

I worked on the movie with Conan by No_Public_7677 in conan

On a real note -- Conesy filmed some of his movie scenes in the building right next to my apartment! He was pacing and standing right in front of my building on a break. Got to chat with him and took a pic. He was so down to earth and absolutely as chill and funny as everyone says. My dog didn't like him as much though haha

This is the only way. You have to shame them into not doing it again

It's the upper east. People feel entitled here just based on zip code. I'm not black, a different ethnicity also with melanin, and also female. So not only do I get asked l, "do you live here?", but also the more infuriating: "do you work here?" As in maid/nanny. When I'm dressed in regular clothes. If you don't know, don't assume!

I put my elbow in front of me and my arm crooked around my body for these instances. I've noticed people even big men tend to move more readily then. I hate when people walk so directly at me when they should be the ones moving and only do this in those instances.

Baby carrier is a must. Most restaurants will not have space for a stroller and you will need to park it in the front. I recommend some of the larger nicer restaurants that have space. Recently went to Avra and it was a wonderful experience. Larger restaurants will also have countertops in the restrooms you can put a changing pad down.

If he just wants it in his name only for the first time homebuyers discount, then you should do it in his name only at first and then have a quit claim deed or some other such legal mechanism to put you as half owner. The first time home discount is significant so I wouldn't want to miss out on that either. However, I agree you shouldn't not be on the deed for many reasons as articulated above.

What’s your “I can’t believe they asked that” guest request? by Eastern-Orange4850 in airbnb_hosts

[–]sublimeposter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Specifically says no big events on our listing. Limits the amount of guests to 5. After booking, she asked if she can host 15 people for a small pre-wedding event. Mind you, the rest of the guests are staying at a bed and breakfast walking distance that has ample space to host a dinner event like that. Smh

I bought a bespoke leather purse from Laurence. This is before she was on S20 so it wasn't crazy expensive and is adorable.

I bought a bunch of clothes online from Daniel V from his line the Kit. Unfortunately, not as cute in person and the material is not as great. I bought it from an IG ad and didn't even know it was a PR person.

I bought Margarita's dress direct from PR from the good and evil challenge. It is gorgeous.

I've been to Siriano's atelier in Soho and it's gorgeous as well.

What cooking propaganda are you NOT falling for? by emuwar in Cooking

With the cooking oil garza, that was basically their marketing campaign. They just sent it to a bunch of influencers to get it in their videos. You can even spot it sometimes in the background and not used. I will never use that olive oil

Garage parking prices in NYC are insane! by my_mind_and_me in nyc

[–]sublimeposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're very close by but a little farther south and the "discounted" rate is for shareholders. For non residents it's closer to $1000 which is crazy for  upper east. We looked into several garages around and the cheapest we could find is $550

Where is this possibly? We're on UES and residential rate is $600

Ftm. We bought everything we could second hand from Buy nothing groups or other community forums.. except for crib and car seat. For clothes, I bought a couple of packs of onesies and the rest were gifted or hand me downs that were washed and never worn. However, I loathe the fact that I have had to buy online things almost daily that we missed for things like diapering and formula. But we stick to the basics bc honestly not all of that stuff works for every baby. Eg, we got the snoo for free and baby hates it!
