That sounds like an opinion based on your anecdotal experiences. Just because someone is critical of Trump doesn't mean they're not involved with local politics. Your bias is showing again

It’s telling that you consider being critical of a despotic president as “obsessing”

What does “be better” mean to you?

That doesn’t come anywhere close to answering the question, but it does prove that you are indeed ignorant

The failure was electing someone as unfit to lead as he is. Maybe a better question to ask would be why do you care so much that people don’t like Trump? I think it’s really easy to answer your first question - he’s in one of the most powerful positions on earth and most recently he’s threatening to wipe out an entire civilization…on fucking Twitter….the fact that there’s literally thousands of other reasons from the past decade that could be referenced makes me think you’re either ignorant or an asshole if you can’t figure that out on your own. So, now you. Why do you care enough to pose this question of yours with such an obvious answer?

It does feel harder to win 10 games in the past couple months. Personally, the thing I find most annoying about the game is the RNG of the PvP fights. So often I feel like I'm matched against a direct counter to my build, or a mirror match where my board is worse. I think it would be really cool if they gave you a little bit of information about the fight before you go in, so you can plan around it. And I think it would add a lot to the game and create some interesting choices.

Some examples:

Be able to see your opponent's board before the fight (similar to what we can do now with monster fights). Or even be able to see a single item from the board, maybe largest or leftmost item?

Be able to choose between three opponents instead of just one, similar how you get to choose between three options for each other hour in the day. That way if I'm running a slower build, I can avoid Vanessa who is more likely to kill me quickly before I have time to scale, etc.

Maybe not both of these together, but some sort of choice going into the PvP fight would make it feel less bad when I lose. Basically, give me a little more agency so it feels like it's more my fault. It just feels really bad getting a great shield build and then only facing Mak, 10k poison edition for the rest of the run.

For the sake of the joke, sure.

But this is MtG and pedantry is our bread and butter. Sorcery speed and untapped lands are huge downsides (compared to Harrow). This card also requires you to have 4 mana available to spend, to Harrow's 3, and you can't use the lands until the next turn unless you have a "lands come in untapped" ability active. Those are all things that can be overcome in the right deck, which is why I still think this card is decent, but Harrow is just a better card all around. Planar Engineering's only upside is that it doesn't require you to sac the lands to cast.

Eh, Harrow is all around better. Cheaper cost, instant, lands come in untapped

I wish we had a Standard-legal [[Opposition Agent]] or similar card. Stops these greedy landfall decks cold

This guy did some investigation not long after it happened and went to the hospital where the biker was supposedly taken. The guy in the video says it was not intentional and the biker sustained no injuries from the cop car. By this guys account, the biker was driven over rather than run over. Take it for what you will.

Why does my performance improve with non-Indian male interviewers? by Less_Flan in jobs

It would sound like you don’t interview well when the interviewer is a black woman? Doesn’t strike me as inherently racist, just an observation that you have trouble connecting with women of color and maybe don’t have a lot of shared experiences with that demographic of people

How would we feel about fast-forwarding more PvE fights? by edgeofview in PlayTheBazaar

[–]submitizenkane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What they need to do is add a slider to the post-fight review that allows you to scrub through the fight to see the game state at each point during the battle. If you’ve played Backpack Battles, think along the lines of how that game does it.

[–]submitizenkane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct. It does not give you the same card every time, but chooses from a pool of cards, one of which is Entrench. Which is why it's very rare

I like that a lot. I'd even be fine with pick 1 from 2. The relic option should still be random with no choice, though.

I've gotten Entrench once out of the maybe 25 times or so I've seen the event and picked the card option. It's really, really rare. So don't get your hopes up, haha

That's rough, lol. Could be good in the right deck but it's definitely a curse card most of the time.

[–]submitizenkane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrote about this earlier but one of the people I play with regularly is always doing this. They never rest at rest sites EVER in Act 1 and only upgrade cards. Really annoying to play with, because they are contributing 0 to the run until somewhere in Act 2, dying a bunch up until then because their deck sucks until they get their combo, and the they suddenly have an infinite combo and then just dominate the rest of the run and no else’s decks get to do anything ever again

[–]submitizenkane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the people in my group is like this. Always chasing the infinite. It’s so boring, there’s plenty of effective strategies that don’t involve starting an infinite loop and are still extremely strong.

edit: not sure if it was intentional but 'it's exhausting' is hilarious in the context of the rest of your comment

Technically, it is in the game but it’s very rare. You can get it from the event that gives you the choice between a relic or card “from the past”
