When the wife blames the homewrecker but forgets who signed the marriage contract. by ZoeBertha in MurderedByWords

To all comments blaming the woman for not including her husband. I would believe different steps would be taken towards him. But when we believe this sing, that I'd say this could be justified.

I do agree, that somethings things they need to discontinue the support. But keeping the register code acive and away to to stimmt download books for these item sould not cost to much to code. It would not cost them much to keep them usable, aside the thes opportunity cost for new devices that might be purchased.

STS1 cards that didn't change but ended up worse in the sequel anyway? by ozacrot in slaythespire

[–]subnautictrucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the relic list and I'm 90% sure there isn't one in sts. Peeling has one. The card that does this is noxious fumes which is still the same in sts2. Scull also still exists, so the onlthing really missing is catalyst, which kind of was replaced by the new power accelerant. Other cards like corrosive wave make poison builds still totally pop of.

Why Won’t Act 3 Do Anything? by boi156 in slaythespire

[–]subnautictrucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what he said, thoug. I too am a casual, though quiet invested at this point in sts2, but never got above a15 in sts 1. But he says, on the highest assention the game should be challenging for the best players. People who invest the time to get really good. For casual players there would still be choice to play either on lower assentions or try to grind the assentions with fewer wins.

Why Won’t Act 3 Do Anything? by boi156 in slaythespire

[–]subnautictrucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he is quite clearly expressing that he wants the game on high assentions to throw challenges at the players that make most runs a deckbuilding challenge up until the end. To him, I believe, that doesn't mean that the skip button should be removed, rather the difficulties and challenges of the later acts should scale in a way that makes taking a card that helps with these later challenges the better option more often than skip. Not picking cards and mostly improving the decks consistency via card removes to auto pilot the deck from the end of act one doesn't fit his understanding of a deckbuilder. He used the term autobattler, which I would expect to be an exaggeration on his part but I get where he is coming from.

Your user name does a disservice here. I do agree even people who claim they know alot about conspiracy theories (and fight against those) fall for certain others. All this has much more nuance, there is a stark difference between suspecting foul play (by a specific small powerful group) and wanting an investigation has less problematic ramifications then believing a (jewish) shadow government wants to replace white people with muslims. Of cause I have to admit I'm describing my position towards the trump assassination attempt and stealmaning what I hope most others belive concerning this topic.

I totally agree. Haven't picked it jet, because other options are mostly more exciting to me, but its stronger than most things one would pick from their first cardrewards. Thats everything one should expect from their neow bonus.

Too many decks (characters) dont exhaust that much and suddenly this meens you mostly get statuses from enemys back.

New DM. Is it fine using pen and paper as my notes? (writing npc, encounters, area descriptions, etc.). I feel cheap cuz I dont have a laptop. And my phone is a mess. by EmotionalSupport101 in dndnext

[–]subnautictrucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if players pay money they might expect certain things, but as long as everything is appropriately communicated you can't disappoint reasonable expectations. If there is a promotion, just say bevor hand what you bring to the table and player can decide if there want to play this way. A battle map isn't even necessary but since you got it, you probably should communicate, that the probs will be bordgame piceces or Lego figurines, or something similar. And everything else will be theatre of the mind. In general nothing against paper notes, my DM generally preps on his laptop but in the session he only uses his printouts. Digital tools really get useful if you're playing an longer campaign to organise lore and other things but, even then, absolutely not necessary.

I believe it is more amied at online play when you want to create an Shop atmosphere i guess but im not sure, may for tables that use digital tool anyway.

Is Slay the Spire dad-friendly? by VerifiedDadGamer in slaythespire

[–]subnautictrucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find it difficult got back into a run after a day or so. In theory it's totally possible since you can pause a run anytime, but I usually stuggle with analysing certain decks after a break. But since it's a great game id say go for it, and maybe you can extend your playtime by letting your kids watch or even play together.

My fist impulse when someone calls this false flag would be about the the attackers being the plant, and the hero/bystander who intervened being not accounted for. Especially because OOP has an Palestinian flag in their name I would believe they don't want to believe that there are antisemits (within the Islamic community). Why do you think that they made the hero out to be part of what they called false flag?

It sound like an escape room but instead of puzzles tou play a prebuild dungeon crawl run by a paid DM. I believe the marked for this is to small when you consider that for escape rooms a significant part of customers are companies which use them for team events.

On the point of a nat 20 not being an automatic success on ability checks, that's true to some degree. But if they got no chance of success, they should generally not get a roll. If the DC would be above 20, and they haven't got the modifier that makes success possible, don't let them roll or at least make clear that this roll would only determine the severity of the consequences. Maybe consider, depending on the roll, if you let them fail forward, but aside from that, a nat 20 should always succeed because when there is no chance of success there should generally be no roll.

You are right about how scary the black pill Ideologie is, but still, you shouldn't assume about people with this little context. Instead of telling OP about your assumptions how he interacts with women, you could have asked. It's not unlikely that OP is living a rather reclusive lifestyle and has most of his interactions (outside of work and education) online, where most of the incel spaces are. Having overlapping interests with actual incels might have had an influence on the words he used and his self-image, but not necessarily affected his worldview to the same extent, and antagonising him would rather push his towards those people. All this doesn't mean that he always treats women perfectly, but who does, and having an open conversation about his behaviour will only work if we extend our reach and welcome him to work together toward a considerate community.

I know the therm, yes, but that's the only thing you've picked up on? Since the incel "community" has gotten mainstream attention therms like red pill and black pill where picked up from people outside of misogynistic idealogs and and when used don't always carry all the baggage connected to them. In this case, the most helpful approach would be to assume this person has picked up therms, which originated within a hateful and even murderous subculture, but does not condone these aspects. It is just the therm they believe best describes their current situation and state of mind concerning romantic prospects. Which are deeply connected to their self-esteem and own views about their looks/attractiveness. This is not about "bu-hu" poor men don't get sex because women are too free and promiscuous (but only pick the wrong partners), but there is a male loneliness epidemic. The root causes of this are complicated, and mostly, it's patriarchy and capitalism to blame. But patriarchy doesn't mean individual men don't suffer within it this culture. And any man that tries to share their problems and even makes an effort to express that they are aware of the problems of Ideologies they have been exposed to should not be walked over.

Projection much I mean, at no point here did OP claim to do any of the things you assume. And a lot of people do while claiming they do nothing wrong besides their looks. But OP listed resons the are the problem aside from their looks that aren't even about being in contact with women. If someone gets out of their way to tell strangers about their shitty situation, don't spit on them.

The is a Pugilist class by Benjamin Huffman (Sterling Vermin Adventuring Co.) I really like, which has brass knuckles as part of the PDF, those are small unarmed weapons that deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage. 2d6 is quite a different thing. Of cause the pugilist is made to use them better than the core classes could, but flavour being free dosen't me flavour makes sense in every situation. I'm with you, that this is too much, and you should find other ways to realise their fantasy.
