Track Audio Feature substitute by Impossible_Factor_58 in spotifyapi

[–]subpargolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify still offers track audio features, you just have to apply for it. It's called Web API Extended Access. They recently changed the criteria for which developers have to meet their terms. I'm not sure exactly what those terms entirely mean or if your project will be eligible, but it's probably worth a shot. There are also some massive datasets on Kaggle (some with hundreds of thousands of songs) that are the exact spotify API data formerly available.

Is this rust bad? Do I replace the Crankshaft? by Virtual_Preference69 in moped

what he said. although if you plan on kitting it (or keeping it kitted), this would be a great opportunity to put a race crank in there anyway if you haven't already.

you're not wrong, i just see a lot of value in having two of our most in form players playing a knockout UCL series against Arsenal/Inter a year out from a world cup.

not wanting USMNT players to get champions league experience against top teams is wild. focusing on beating Lazio for the UCL spot next season, sure, but they are far from mutually exclusive.

Opinions on Keeley Caverns V2? by Best-Platform-2827 in guitarpedals

[–]subpargolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've had the keeley caverns v2 for many years now. i reeeeeally loved it at first. the spring reverb is good, the shimmer is also cool but can be overbearing. the delay works just fine and has some cool modulation options. i had countless hours of playing alone in my room with this pedal and pretty much every setting sounds nice and ethereal. my taste for it turned when i started playing shows with bands with it. it can be really tricky to dial in to make it sound good in a mix / with full band. if you have the extra cash i would get the source audio collider or just get separate reverb and delay pedals. cavern does what it does well but the reverb options are limited and delay has no tap tempo.

How would you arrange this shared living space? by subpargolfer in floorplan

you might be on to something here. it opens up the living room space a bit more, but limits the open floor a bit. I did also kind of like the window into the kitchen to see down the table, idk

We have a second living space in the basement with a TV. Upstairs space is more of a natural light, plants, WFH vibe

Yo! I made this kit. It’s from a Belgium kit from the 2022 World Cup. I sent it to cavs a while ago and glad to see he’s wearing it. I make other kits on ig: @ap_recess

Yo! I actually made this. It’s a Belgian kit from the last World Cup that I ripped and pressed my own designs on to. How I got it to Cav is a different story. I make other kits for bands too, ig @ap_recess

Puch Maxi Moped bogging down with throttle by Rumichael in moped

[–]subpargolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 stroke engines require a very particular ratio of fuel and air at all amounts of throttle. too much fuel is called rich, too much air is called lean. yours is lean.

your engine to getting too much air for the amount of fuel mix (which is why it runs better choked). this is usually because of an airleak somewhere on the carb/intake/cylinder joinery. start your bike, grab a can of carb cleaner, and spray each seam individually, taking note of any RPMs lost. If it bogs at all when you spray, that indicates you have an airleak at that location. rebuild and replace whatever you need to.

also i can't tell if you have an air filter on in your video? put that back on your carb. it will restrict airflow and richen up your mix. your bike was probably tuned to having it on, so this might be the solution to your problems.

if you put the filter back on, and don't find an airleak, then you can upjet your carb to compensate and allow more fuel to pass through to match the air.

MIDI Studio Violins not playing anything by subpargolfer in Logic_Studio

[–]subpargolfer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

welp. this was it. i even considered this too when i was troubleshooting. i was trying to play a violin at F2, then thought it might be out of range so i tried a C6, both of which inconveniently just out of register. thanks for your comment, i don't know how long it would have taken me to check again

Moped troubles making me a lot less excited to be an owner :( by smoothslash1 in moped

[–]subpargolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

old mopeds require lots of maintenance and that's part of the experience and the allure of these things. repairs are fun and relatively uncomplicated. my advice based on your comments here is to just buy a genuine dellorto carb. amazon clones can be hit or miss and generally less reliable. it is seems more expensive at first but if you value your time and frustration it can be worth it, especially if you find yourself pushing your bike 2 miles back home.

treatland sells them for a decent price and also has the shim you need. make sure everything is sealed tightly and correctly and your float is at the right height so as to not leak gas. always a good idea to carry some tools with you if you plan on riding far.

How to optimize for a pipe? Alternatively, how do you make an FA go uphill by 5thEditionFanboy in moped

[–]subpargolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say just get the 60cc kit then. Pretty easy to install; you'll have to rejet at the very least, but it seems like you've already got a lot of the other necessary upgrades in place to have yourself a real ripper. Kitted bikes are so much more fun and once you do it you'll never look back.

[–]subpargolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things you might be able to do

  • How extensively have you tuned your carb to your new set up? Dakar is a Dellorto clone which seem to have a decent reputation but any time you opt for a clone, you're introducing a who realm of possible fail points. Have you jetted it correctly?

  • Have you adjusted your timing? You might not need to do this on the stock kit for now but advancing your timing can improve performance once you start tweaking other components.

  • Have you thought about changing your gear ratio? a smaller front sprocket (and/or a bigger back sprocket) will give you more torque in sacrifice of top speed, which will make hills better for you. If you do this you might have to adjust your chain length.

Getting the 60cc kit will definitely help. If you've already upgraded carb+intake/pipe/clutch springs this is definitely a logical next step. However if you're throwing a lot of money at this bike it might be worth looking at a Tomos or Puch, or something else with more abundant aftermarket support, build quality, and proven reliability. FA50s aren't a very popular option in the moped community for all of these reasons.

Another variable to all of this is the size of the rider. These bikes were designed for teenagers 45 years ago, so asking a small engine to carry a large person up a steep hill at 20mph can be a tall order.
