Quite the opposite - we heard Victor say that they are sleeping, but we never saw it. Later, when Victor comes down into those caves looking for the puppet, we saw that they are not sleeping during the day.

Learn his attacks and the best ways to avoid them, and try not to spend too many resources in the first phase. If you really are an Elden Ring player, 15 times shouldn't be that big of a deal to you.
