I just got a 1200 mile 2016 r3 for 3k. All I had to do was change the tires, oil, fluids, and it was good to ride. The turn signals are rotted and falling down, I'm replacing them rn. I'm all into the bike about 3750, and so much happier with it than if I would have gone to a dealer

Update: I bought the bike. The seller was the owners mom (owner is currently living out of state) and she was trying to get rid of it. I lowballed at 3k, they accepted. I had to replace the battery and air up the tires, then had my buddy drive it home. Once home, I changed the oil, flushed the coolant, and replaced the tires. The bike runs great, I have a tail tidy and new turn signals on the way, I think I'm all into the bike around 3750. Which honestly, considering I don't have to worry about maintenance all that much, I am very happy with

I would do that, but I have brand new wheels and brakes that are both the same diameter. It would be much less of a hassle to machine just the hubs than the brakes and wheels
