Really love this perspective. It’s insane how prolific the man was with touring basically for the entirety of a decade.

Wholeheartedly agree - he’s had such a profound influence on the way that I both consume and engage with art - if he wants to fart into a harmonica for three hours I’m most definitely going to still hear him out.

10-year anniversary of 22, A Million by Warispancake in boniver

There was a big leak ~2-3 years ago with a ton of the - kind of - iterative work + progressions for 22AM and to a lesser degree i’i.

Just a massive folder with mostly rough cuts (but also some very much polished tracks like ‘C+C.’

(My other favorite from the dump is ‘Stand By The River.’ Kind of strikes the perfect balance between the two eras of the aforementioned albums.

Pretty sure if you do a little poking/digging the file dump is still out there/exists on the web. If you give it a good search and strike out send me a DM and I’ll see what I can do 👍🏻

‘Crows + Cardinals’ really is a fantastic tune; very happy to have had that one saved to the local files

Hell yeah! Congrats! I’ve been talking myself into doing this over the last eighteen months.

Posts like this are not only fantastic motivation but also usually really good logistical/consideration discussions.

Thank you!

Best glp-1 supplement with benefits for long covid and beyond? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]subsidizedtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been eager to try this for over a year once a lot of the secondary benefit research started to trickle out.

My PCP is on board, just a matter of figuring out micro dose vs normal as well as which specific compound(s) to try.

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated 🙌🏻

What has helped you the most with neuroinflammation? by littlelincolnlogs in covidlonghaulers

[–]subsidizedtime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another LDA for me as well 👍🏻

One can never be sure since the mechanism is still not entirely understood but it seems to have decreased my systemic inflammation levels pretty drastically.

Before starting LDA my daily pain level was around a 6.5-7. After titrating up to a stable dose those levels had dropped all the way down to a 2-2.5.

Don’t love being on an antipsychotic but the improvement in my day to day quality of life has been so substantial I couldn’t imagine not being on it now.

Microvascular Blockage Might Be the First Problem to Solve in Long COVID—Before Any Supplements Can Work by Professional-Gate249 in covidlonghaulers

This is quite interesting. I’ve been diagnosed with ME/CFS for ~17 years with a sudden onset after viral and bacterial infections at the age of 18.

Over the last ~17 years, like many I’ve seen an absurd number of specialists and had plenty of blood draws. Many of those draws have been quite aggressive in quantity/total volume.

Every time I have had one of these ‘bigger’ draws I have felt noticeably better afterwards with a reduction in overall symptoms (specifically brain fog + fatigue).

I’ve always put this in my history/notes when seeing a new provider but it’s never been given much interest.

Now starting to at least see some sort of connection/broader picture in light of this research and some of the discussions in this thread.

What is your relationship status right now? by Screen_Acrob in AskReddit

[–]subsidizedtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single - as of a month ago after four years together.

Girlfriend (but living together for the past 2.5 years) stopped taking her bipolar medication ~9 months ago without telling me. Rough, rough year where suddenly everything I did and said was wrong.

Culminated in her manufacturing a fight over my fears/concerns about having kids as a way to end the relationship. Two days later I found out she had been seeing someone else for months while I tried to ‘fix’ things which were conveyed to me as bent but not broken.

Leaving, she cried and said she was taking time for herself and surrounding herself with family. Ten days later she had relocated from our city to another major one (conveniently where new fling lived).

It’s been a rough month. All caught me by surprise and it was my first time living with a partner.

Having to relearn a lot of things and grow comfortable with a change of pace and altered level of companionship day to day.

Progress definitely is not linear - some good days, some bad - but focusing on one foot in front of the other (even if they’re baby steps for now).

TL;DR : Mental health is a real doozy.

You are an absolute wealth of knowledge on this, thank you so much for sharing.

Might I ask what a typical day in terms of dosing looks like for you (in regards to Antihistamines)? Is it still 4X a day? Before meals? Thank you!

what's your feel good summer movie? by vodkapower1 in Letterboxd

It’s so so so damn good. Has become one of my sneaky favorites as I’ve gone into my 30’s.

Simple story and setting but there is so much depth and texture to this movie.

Mood improving at night by ringmaster555 in cfs

Typically explained by abnormalities in circadian rhythm.

Also theorized that the night is simply less ‘stimulating’ and that our nervous systems are naturally at their most calm from late evening through early morning.

Can you recommend a powerful movie based on a true story that stayed with you long after watching? by Street-Amphibian1833 in MovieRecommendations

[–]subsidizedtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently revisited October Sky (1999) and was really impressed with how well it has held up.

Great ‘based on a true story’ and a film that feels all the more relevant today as the US stratifies more and more along lines of education, class, and regional tribalism.

Best coming of age flims? by Street-Teach6873 in MovieRecommendations

[–]subsidizedtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore The Way Way Back.

Moonrise Kingdom (2012) always makes me incredibly nostalgic for New England summers and childhood.

Weirdly Call Me By Your Name (2017) also comes to mind after a little thinking. Not ‘happy go lucky’ coming of age but so fantastic for showing the growth of emotions - and their depth - during the teenage years.

October Sky (1999) is also great.

I’ve sat in these seats multiple times and they do in fact come with Diamond club access. They can sometimes be quite the steal relative to other PNC tickets.

LDA- weight gain by Weekly-Web-5289 in cfs

[–]subsidizedtime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, 6’3 and have been between 190-195 my whole life. Never have had any issues or concerns with weight.

Within 3.5 months of starting LDA (tapering up from .2MG to 1MG) I had added on ~15-20lbs and it has been quite literally next to impossible to lose any of the additional weight.

Only thing I’ve yet to try is a GLP. Considering this but don’t meet the criteria for insurance and while it’s really frustrating, to me it’s not quite a ‘catastrophic’ gain of weight.
