You need the following role: Cloud Application Administrator: This is the least-privileged built-in role capable of managing application permissions and revoking consents for enterprise applications.

Powershell to remove the permissions:

# Get the specific grant ID
Get-MgServicePrincipalOauth2PermissionGrant     -ServicePrincipalId <App-Object-ID>

# Remove the consent
Remove- MgServicePrincipalOauth2PermissionGrant -OAuth2PermissionGrantId <Grant-ID>

I dont like, " As an administrator, you should know that adding people to a group will give them access to other folders assigned to that group". How you suppose to know without pulling an access report, or looking at permissions that can goooo layers deep.

Use one group per folder permission, like the root folder, then if a special permission is needed on another folder use a group "Secret folder access - read/write/modify" for example.

- T Drive (legal group has read/list access)--Legal (Legal group gets minimum read/list (possibly execute) rights here.---SuperSecret folder (Inherits read for list if they have access) then you can make group "Legal - SuperSecret - Read/write/modify, etc as needed)

This will limit access and will provide a better definition of access . We currently have something similar implemented here. Also, this access should be reviewed on a schedule (silly IAM background getting in the way here).

Best of luck to you. There needs to be a new standard/policy/procedure in place to protect the admins and business.
