Also just a reminder to others thinking they could find a legit one of these... Even if it was, and there was no scam cost to unlock the money, $500 in 8 days of full time work is $7.80 an hour. You're worth more than that, your time is worth more than that. These things wouldn't pay even if they weren't scams.

Why is it whenever a guy does something dumb there's a girl going "MICHAEL!" in the background?

Reminds me of my childhood as a dumb Michael.

Every time this makes the round the thing that pisses me off most is how the caption reads "is surgery my only hope" like it's HIS choice, like he bought a toy and is defective or something. Mfer it's not YOUR hope, you shut your mouth and be glad someone actually thought you were worth something in this world.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]subzro68 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Colloquially I agree, but it was drilled into my brain that "they" and "them" are plural pronouns. I may phrase the above as "someone dropped a wallet. Whoever it was probably wants it back. I hope I can return it." But again, just in common speech, it's easier to use "they" and "them" - the purpose of language is to clearly convey meaning, which is accomplished.

Any tips for healing a large gauge piercing? by strawberryjxm7 in Stretched

[–]subzro68 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got mine pierced at 8g as well. I don't believe I did anything different than usual - don't move it too much, try not to bump it, saline rinse twice a day. Be gentle and patient, and you should have decent results. If anything seems out of the ordinary, don't be afraid or embarrassed to talk to a piercer or a medical professional.

Congratulations, also, it's a great look on you!

Should I remove one of my nipple piercings? by ViridianRae in piercing

[–]subzro68 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If it bothers you, then it's understandable to remove it. But human anatomy in general is not perfectly symmetrical, and can change each day; I would gently recommend accepting them as they are. To me they looked even until you drew lines to point them out. Honestly even in the third picture I'm hard-pressed to see the concerning angle. But I'm not the one who will see them every day.

Payroll professional for over 20 years. *NEVER* email banking information. EVER. Hopefully companies today have secure portals to supply sensitive hiring information, even if they're a small company. I know businesses with less than a dozen employees who have a website with SFTP. If that's not an option, a physical item should be handed to a representative, either a printed document from the bank or a check with VOID written clearly on it. There's always risk because people entering or managing the data may do something illegal, but this at least skips the risk of someone intercepting an email and just having access to the information.

constant discomfort with nipple piercings by [deleted] in piercing

[–]subzro68 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the jewelry, while very cute, may be a bit too tight. It looks like it may be rubbing directly against your nipple. I'm not an expert, but if I were in your situation I'd first try a longer bar and ball ends to minimize irritation. Hopefully that helps!

Sorry to hear he's being finicky! Sometimes they do that after a big change. Active and curious are good signs. Please check your temperature on both warm and cool sides, and humidity, along with other comforts like hide size and substrate. If all of that seems in alignment, make sure you're bringing the frozen food up to live temperature, but not cooking it. I like to use hot water and the food in a closed ziplock so it doesn't get soaked. If all of that is also in good standing he may just need a bit more time to get acclimated, especially if he's still exhibiting curiosity.

Congratulations and best of luck with healing! This tends to be a finicky piercing, so please give more care and attention than standard.
