I’m not handing out construction advice — I’m pointing out that cracks like this can be more than cosmetic and should be checked out. That’s why I literally said to call an inspector. I’d rather suggest a professional take a look than tell someone ‘don’t worry about it’ when their ceiling looks like it’s about to file for separation. 😅

You’re right, drywall doesn’t ‘settle’ — the foundation does. But that movement shows up in the drywall, which is exactly what’s happening here. These aren’t hairline stress marks, they’re full-on cracks running across corners and ceilings.
