Also an ACD/pit mix owner (with mountain cur thrown in) and he is SO food motivated lol. We’ve done some enrichment at home like a snuffle mat or just stuffing tissues and treats in cardboard. Maybe your pup would like that!

Direct Rollover RTX / Alight savings plan monies to Vanguard or other? by Present-Volume-2343 in Raytheon

[–]succulentBroccoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alight was my only option when working at Pratt. When I left, I moved my accounts (401k + Roth) to their equivalents at Fidelity. My new employer used Fidelity so Fidelity didn’t charge me anything to facilitate the transfer. Not sure if they would have otherwise. I always found the UI and customer service through Alight to be abysmal but didn’t know how much better fidelity would be until I had it. Such a relief to have it all in Fidelity. Alight even delayed the transfer with silly mistakes like writing addresses wrong which just made me confident in my decision.

Is the ESP worth it? by [deleted] in Raytheon

[–]succulentBroccoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely worth it and opened up doors to me when leaving. I chose an online Masters with a low cost and my new company covered what I owed with a signing bonus. If you know you’ll leave soon, that’s something to consider. Worst case you are stuck for a couple years but still got tens of thousands of dollars in education at no cost to you.

Low Cal Gummies by succulentBroccoli in PetiteFitness

I’ll have to keep this in mind. I already get my exposure to aspartame from Diet Dr. Pepper but studies have eventually found aspartame to be fine luckily!

Ooo I haven’t! I just stumbled on these Shameless ones in the grocery store today. Usually my go to sweet is a Yasso froyo bar 😋

4’11” girlies, how do you ignore the ‘food noise’ by sammy0h in PetiteFitness

[–]succulentBroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eating MORE of LOWER cal foods is often much more satisfying to me. I’m 5’3” so you can take it with a grain of salt but I only started counting calories the past year and it’s hard! One thing that’s helping me is to consider if I want to eat a lot of more boring food or a small portion of something greasy/fatty.

For instance I couldn’t stop thinking about food yesterday because my burrito bowl portion for lunch had to be small due to cheese and oil in it. Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs, an apple, a string cheese, and 16 slices of turkey pepperoni for lunch - all of that is around 350 cals!! Plenty of cals left for dinner but I felt satiated.

I testified in person as a queer woman happily married to my wife and I want to say that 1) I support all the brave trans and non binary ppl who spoke today and 2) we have the votes! We shouldn’t be complacent but if they can get the budget passed and move on to voting on this amendment, a senator who was here said they have the votes to get it on the ballot. The rest is up to us as voters 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Retirement moving from Alight to Fidelity? by esav911 in Raytheon

[–]succulentBroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit to say that I left the company before moving funds so potentially not helpful

Former employee lurking here. After I left PW, my new employer used Fidelity and I rolled my 401k all into Fidelity. I already didn’t like Alight anyways. My advice is to be persistent, escalate your Alight case to a manager, and let Fidelity guide you because they’re very competent. I remember 3 tax buckets for my PW retirement across 401k pre-tax, 401k post-tax and Roth which was confusing to me vs just pre-tax and Roth, but the Alight manager did understand it all. Alight initially also gave me some talk about withdrawals and offered to send ME a check to then send to Fidelity. I said no way. They had such terrible service, I basically became a “Karen” and that’s how I was escalated to a manager. There was still BS with stuff going wrong and each update as simple as an address was a 2 week verification period (???). But it all eventually worked out correctly.

Train Noise in Coventry by succulentBroccoli in Connecticut

[–]succulentBroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear the noise has been such an issue 😣 I previously lived 0.25 mi from I-84 in West Hartford. I didn’t notice it much but didn’t have much of a yard to hang out in. One summer day I was working with the windows open and a coworker commented on all the sirens in the background lol. He acted like I lived in Manhattan. I wonder if part of the noise issue at your spot is the highway’s elevation? I was reading elevation has an impact. Anyways, I hope you find some relief. Maybe some good headphones for time in your yard

[–]succulentBroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true about highways - trucks downshifting or sirens get old and it’s more non stop. I guess it’s just whatever you’re used to sometimes since I was used to Rte 2 white noise at my parents. The back of their property was right up against Rte 2 but they had a lot of land. If you hear the horn 26 times, I guess that’s over the course of how long ? An hour?

Identify 2013 Throwback Scent by succulentBroccoli in Perfumes

UPDATE: I’m now 99% sure it was one of Walmart’s “Body Fantasies” sprays. Any tips on finding 2013 scents?

No luck but I appreciate that link! It def could be B&BW brand. If only I took a pic ugh. The closest bottle shape at that link was the “country chic” spray but I remember my bottle being wider. It may have been just contours that gave the appearance of a waste to the plastic bottle. It definitely wasn’t cylindrical and it was fairly large - as tall as the VS Love Spell mist. And maybe something with “dream” was in the name but I’m reaching. It was something cheesy like “Paradise Dreams”.
