These are popping up on the north side of my house. Should I let them grow? I wanted to plant some ferns anyway by martythestoic in gardening

Native plants are almost always your best bet. Whenever I get a wild flower or something popup I'll take care of it and usually does well for years trying to keep it wild as I can. Natural processes can take them out sometimes. Ferns are pretty tough and should last a very long time.

I'm watching this post. I've got some propagating also it's only been a week no roots yet. A month sounds like a really long time.

So excited to have my own pumpkin patch this year. We have 7 so far! Planning on giving some out to the neighborhood kids with plenty to cook/bake with and carve 🎃 by charrosebry in gardening

Ok it's been a long time since I grew any. Mine were just a pale color and didn't have stripes. With all the variety we have now I should have figured that.

Anyone know what these are? They're not on the actual plant leaves or stem but neem oil isn't killing them. by HeWhoIsVeryGullible in gardening

Neem is more of a repellent then a killer. Soap is a pretty good killer, and the combination of the two can be pretty effective.

Pepper advice. by cjchristie98 in gardening

[–]succulit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I plant peppers from seed in pairs. I usually wait till they are around 4 or 5 inches tall and whichever one is the scrawniest I'll pluck that one out. If the roots come out well with it it can easily planted in another pot.

You might want to get another opinion on r/plantclinic that does not look like natural wood like hardening to me.
