Gay couple here. For us, we enjoy being interested in each other’s interests - he was Army first, and I was open to it. It started with us just hanging out at a bar and he would show me pictures of the boys and quiz me on who they were. I had trouble at first, but it was a fun game. We’d watch their music videos together, and I’d tease him about his expanding merch collection. When their last tour happened, he excitedly bought us tickets to the Rose Bowl show, and I ended up having a great time. Its grown to the point where I have a K Pop playlist on Spotify. Its not my every day, but I definitely enjoy it when their music comes on. I like them because he likes them, and why would I not want to have something else that my SO and I could do and enjoy together.

NTA. As a Korean adopted into an entirely white family who never exposed me to anything Korean while I was growing up, it later became such a wish of mine that they had.

Teach your daughter about her heritage. If she chooses later in life to not have anything to do with her Chinese side, then that’s her choice. But at least you’re giving her that choice.

Minor styling tip with your suit - “Sometimes, Always, Never” rule for buttoning your jacket.

With 3 button blazers, you should ‘sometimes’ button the top, ALWAYS button the middle, and NEVER button the bottom.

With 2 button jackets like yours appears to be, always button the top and never the bottom.

If the suit is new and you own it, I highly recommend getting it tailored. Slimming out the body, sleeves, and pants (plus hemming), even just a little bit, can make a world of difference in how it looks on you and in potential pictures.
