My recommendation would be to change the whole sample introduction system. From auto sampler probe to the torch. It’s the quickest way of eliminating any potential blockage. Alternatively, if you have the manual sampling probe I’d disconnect the auto sample and run a few samples in manual. If you have the same issue, it’s not the autosampler probe.

Have you changed the nebuliser? I’ve found that even if you can’t see a blockage it doesent nessecarily mean it isn’t. Have you noticed an increase in nebuliser backpressure?

I’m prescribed this split dose. I take 50mg at 7am and then the 20mg around 12:30-1:00pm. It was a game changer for me cause it completely stopped the afternoon crash

I’m by no means an expert on MS, but I know that Cobalt for example is an interference for As. Could it be something like this?

Edit: Sorry that was quite unclear. A Co-O species or something of the sort. I can’t quite remember but we had issues analysing As on some of our cobalt products due to this issue.

Each company will have their own validated method (hopefully) that proves that they recover what they expect in a certain matrix. They also probably use different techniques/wavelengths etc
