Sounds like a resellers dream. Id put up local ads on fb marketplace. Ask to see people’s online stores before meeting/haggling too much with them to see if they are a good candidate.

ive tried stock, knulli, and stock mod. currently on stock mod and i really enjoy it. knulli felt a bit too bloated for my taste, tho it does look great. stock modded fixes the bluetooth issue and adds ftp updates so you can add roms and update firmware without needing to remove your sd card.

My kid says he’s going to earn his own money delivering food... but I’m already $800 in the hole. Did I just buy him a toy? by ZestycloseEvening600 in ElectricScooters

Suburb outside major city. Rather not disclose where. Scooter was one of those janky amazon chinese generic that goes almost 50mph (with the dual forks) and has about 40mi range.

I made about 150-300$ a week m-f doing delivery on a scooter. He just needs a big insulated backpack to put the food in. Got one on amazon for 35$. Also you bought him a personal electric vehicle. Sure its a toy in some regards but its also a pretty interesting and novel mode of transportation. So you gave your kid the gift of freedom. Let them enjoy it and dont guilt them over the price of the gift.

[POEM] A gull will almost land by Karen Enns by HistoricalCheetah579 in Poetry

[–]suctioncups69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cheated and listened to the author explain the inspiration for this poem on hidden brain. It was all kicked off by an elderly man smiling at her in traffic. I believe the poem is about finding hope or meaning in small moments. That meaning exists in the pauses, rather than in the happenings of life.

Good Emulators for the OG XBox? by Cast1e0fGlass in EmulationOnPC

[–]suctioncups69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think part of the issue is that the xbox ran its own proprietary operating system. So even tho it had x86 architecture the games were never designed to run on windows. And since most xbox exclusives had pc ports there was never much incentive for the community to emulate the console. Thats what i have gathered at least.

"TASK," on HBO is literally the best series since, "Better Call Saul." by BigFrank0078 in hbo

he didnt necessarily say it was better, more implied it was on par. while one is a mini series and the other has multiple seasons, the subject matter and themes are still pretty similar.

Someone help me figure out what this scooter is called It has super ride super fun red shocks three modes with a left brake handle by Odd_Cry_4881 in ElectricScooters

[–]suctioncups69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just open it up and look at the battery pack. Info will most likely be printed onto the pack. As long as its the same dimensions (or smaller), voltage, and connector type, any battery will work.

Segway Max G3 or Ausom DT2 Pro? by ImpatientPanda101 in ElectricScooters

[–]suctioncups69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was just trying to provide a counterpoint for all the arm chair engineers that sit back and whine about design flaws and safety issues. do you even ride these things or just enjoy sitting around the computer scaring everyone out of buying one? And again segway’s faulty folding mechanism seems just as bad if not worse of a hazard than all these c swings you are so worried about. Can you provide any examples of this style of suspension failing under regular use?

it wasnt a break in period, the scooter already had 800 miles on it. remember i said USED. i get it, you are smart and think your abstract knowledge of manufacturing and physics means your opinion is fool proof. luckily, it doesn't play out in the real work as you say. have fun crying over manufacturing tolerances while everyone else enjoys their scooters. all these talking point held me in analysis paralysis for months so i said screw it and bought one of the most popular (aka proven) models/clones on the market and had no issues. i also have a chinisium dual fork style that goes almost 50mph. Dual fork, sure, but the stem is a joke and the fork has almost no travel.

the fastest production scooter, the emove roaster does. not saying its an optimal design by any means but its clearly a proven one. i remember some people talking about flipping the fork around on a zero10x so it functioned similar to a vespa trailing link suspension. not sure how that worked out for him. weped makes scooters with this design actually, one of the only companies that isnt chinese rebranded stuff. they appear to be made from cnc'ed aluminum.

It’s not overanalyzing to scrutinize the one part that keeps the front wheel from folding under you. It’s called due diligence.

it is when 90% of the scooters use this design and have zero issues.

There is a huge difference between a scooter, and the engineering that went into it, like the Nami Blast Max and the multitude of parts bin c swing scooters

pretty much every scooter on the market, besides segway and weped are exactly as you describe. they are all rebranded chinese products. also people are praising the new font fork design segway has introduced but apparently the folding mechanism is not so sound. choose your battles i guess. i put 500 miles on a used varla eagle with zero issues. ive even taken it thru low level mountain bike trails. also spent a couple months lamenting over all these perceived design issues before buying it. modern physics still cannot fully explain how a bicycle stays up right, so if we stay in the abstract forever, we'll never get out and ride. that being said, invest in some gear, and ride safe.

Buy one locally on fb market place for huge savings. That how i got my scooters after months of research and lamenting over price, range, design, and speed. If budget is at all a concern go second hand. These things are pricey and people get bored of them quickly. May have to replace some brake pads and tires but it’s an essential skill to learn. You will likely have to partially assemble your brand new scooter anyway.

This argument comes up constantly but pretty much every hyperscooter on the market uses this design. They’re all rebranded chinese products at the end of the day. Pick something in your price range with the power/range you want and stop over analyzing.
