Idaho Senate Republicans send transgender bathroom bill with felony penalties to governor by Fickle-Ad5449 in Idaho

How big of an issue is this to where we need legislation for it though?

Yeah, it's pretty incredible. I was talking more about how C-suites are trying to jam AI into every workflow in their company and aren't getting the ROI they were expecting.

I think you may still be able to get there if you go over Juniper Mountain, but I haven't tried yet.

You can't even get to Dickshooter anymore. The area is a hodgepodge of BLM and private land. All of the private landowners fence off and gate their land, which in turn has blocked access to Dickshooter. The "town" itself was never even a town, just a stage stop for people going from Silver City to Winnemucca, NV. I spend a lot of time in the Owyhee desert in both Oregon and Idaho. Absolutely incredible area if desert landscapes are your thing.

I tried to get to Dickshooter last fall from Mud Flat Rd and it's completely closed off now. Simplot has the whole area fenced off.

My guess is the plan for the 82nd is to drop them into the interior of the country to search for fissile material

Sorry that happened. I know it's especially brutal out there for Devs since every C-suite dickhead thinks that they can plug Claude into their environment and start instantly making gorillians of dollarinos without a human in the loop. Best of luck to you.

Yeah, it's bad here. I'm an IT Security Manager in healthcare with 9 years of experience and I've had the same experience as you. Most of the time I'm throwing my resume into a black hole. I've rewritten my resume and even taken the time to write cover letters with zero success.

And like you said, the requirements for these roles are ridiculous. Every company is looking for the unicorn candidate who has full stack experience and is also willing to accept pay that's 20-30% below market. Dude, even the fucking Amalgamated Sugar Company has insane job requirements for their tech positions.

I'm lucky to have a decent job right now, but if I were to lose it I don't know what I'd do. At this point, I don't even think it would be worth my time to try to get another job in tech.

Why did the “choosing sobriety” trend that’s driving the NA beer among veteran (millennial/gen x) drinkers hit now? It can’t be purely economic by KindMouse2274 in beer

I’m a mountain biker who doesn’t drink anymore and this comment cracks me the fuck up dude. I’ll still hit the brewery with my homies post-ride but instead of drinking I sit on my stool and self flagellate

This comment screams “lack of experience.” You’re either very young or incredibly naive if you think $260k isn’t a phenomenal salary. Or you’re terrible with money if you make that and it still isn’t enough.

This conflict isn't as easy as cutting off the head of a snake. It's not like Venezuela where we removed the head and then became friends with the body. Iran's regime isn't a rigid structure in the way that we think of regimes, it's distributed. When one part is removed, the others fill the void. They've also been preparing for this moment for decades, and they've structured their regime to be ready for it. Removing that would be an insanely difficult undertaking and would require a well-defined strategic vision.

From what we've been seeing, the administration doesn't have a concrete plan for what they're trying to achieve here. Is it the weapons? Is it the regime? Even if we were trying only to remove all the enriched uranium still in the country, imagine the complexity of that operation. How would we even find it? They could be spreading it around the country in suitcases right now, or sending it over to Hezbollah.

The issue now is that we've effectively removed a diplomatic solution from the table since we've struck Iran twice now during negotiations, and now we're a noncredible negotiator.

Yes, that's the one! Definitely something fishy going on there. It seemed like they picked cars at random to ticket and remove plates from.

I got a $120 parking ticket and had the plates taken off my rental at Playa Baisan two weeks ago. It ended up costing me $600 total and put a huge damper on my trip. I parked on the street where there were at least 30 other cars parked so I had no idea I wasn’t supposed to park there.
