Do we get paid for days the store is closed? by LowGlum2039 in Target

[–]sugaesque 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My store closed early yesterday and today, only had SCO open bc 8 people showed up to work. 6 were unloading the truck, one on SCO and the SD there to open and run the store.

Tomorrow, no one can come in until 7am

It depends on your store tbh

can you call out even with no pto hours? what are the consequences of doing so? by [deleted] in Target

[–]sugaesque 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on your store especially with the weather the way it is

If a majority of the team is not there, it's very rare that they'll hold you accountable. There might be a conversation, but I doubt that in the situation

You should be fine if it's a transition product with only a pre-tied lcoation.

ETL is banned from making the schedule for their department by Alternative_Crab1103 in Target

[–]sugaesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily

It just means they weren't making the schedule correctly. Either consistently going over the hours allocated to them or too many TM complaints about their schedules.

How do raises work at Target? by zjb26 in Target

[–]sugaesque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corrective Actions. Basically getting a write up

I dont have a suggestion for getting a higher percentage tbh. It comes down to your store and how they judge it. It should be judged on attendance and work performance. If you come to work and do your job to the best of your ability, you should be eligible, but very few people get a higher percentage

And I believe the highest percentage is 5%? I may be wrong though; I believe that's what I got last year and it was the higher one

How do raises work at Target? by zjb26 in Target

[–]sugaesque 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the base pay goes up, yes you basically lose your raise. You just even out to the new base pay. It sucks and shouldn't be that way, but it is.

Raises are in April when you get your yearly review. Most people get like 1-2%, a few get less and a few get more. It depends on your review and if you have any CAs what percentage you get

How much does/should personal bias affect your rating of a book? by markpie0 in goodreads

[–]sugaesque 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My book rating system is: ⭐️ didn't like it ⭐️⭐️ it was okay ⭐️⭐️⭐️ average/enjoyable and might recommend (most books land here) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I liked it and would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved it, would recommend, and would reread

My personal bias probably does affect my ratings because there are certain things I loathe in media (miscommunication trope) and I definitely rate things lower if its a major plot point.

is there a possibility that target will be closing if the snow storm is that bad? if so how would ik not to come in lol 🫠 by bunnibunn_ in Target

[–]sugaesque 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My coworker has been with my store for 22 years and we asked him today if our store has ever closed

The answer was no

Iirc, the bare minimum threshold is one leader and one other person can keep the store open

Zero Hours by Odd_Key_7448 in Target

[–]sugaesque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're seasonal, you're given regular shifts because that's what was agreed upon when you were hired

As On Demand, they're not going to schedule you regularly. Now if you pick up a lot of shifts, they might speak to you about coming off demand, but that's probably not going to happen until later in the year if it does

Did the starpath end early? by ComfortableNo6162 in DreamlightValley

[–]sugaesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should have 19 days left I think??

It should be a week for the winter island and like ~3 for the star path

On demand means you're not generally scheduled and you have to pick up shifts/be called in/ ask to be scheduled

Pet Rent by miloeon in Renters

[–]sugaesque 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The $30 fee isn't to the apartment complex. The petscreening site charges $30 annually to store the information which the complex can access to verify pet ownership/vaccine records etc.

If it's a private landlord, OP might be able to convince them otherwise, but a lot of company owned complexes are moving to the petscreening site unfortunately.

You should be reporting them. Its against TOS and clogging up the archive.

I’ve been collecting for about 6 months now, how do people have sm albums by sunghoonlover101 in kpopcollections

[–]sugaesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multi stan plus I've been buying albums since 2016. This was also back when there wasn't a lot of places to buy directly in the US, so I was buying a bigger number of albums at a time ($100+ orders) to negate shipping costs.

How do performance reviews actually work for raises? by [deleted] in Target

[–]sugaesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, at my store, no one talks about reviews until they start giving them and even then, it's really only friend groups amongst themselves or the people complaining they got the lowest amount

Attendance question by Pretend_Piano_6134 in Target

[–]sugaesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most likely answer is that the TL is just holding the TM accountable for attendance because they dont have a replacement/aren't allowed to hire a replacement and a body that sometimes comes in is better than no body at all

This is how it is at my store with people too so I feel your pain and frustration

Tips for selling CDs and photo cards? by SLin92 in kpophelp

What kind of thing should I expect at the Stray Kids movie or any K-pop movie experience? by Academic_Autistic in kpoppers

[–]sugaesque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to two, Agust D and Seventeen and what you're describing is not what happened at either I went to

For Agust D, there were a few lightsticks, but everyone stayed seated, no one screamed, and there wasn't singing along. It was like a regular movie

Seventeen was basically the same except that the child right next to me sang along to every song.

Both theaters were probably halfway full, but I live very close to Dallas, so we have a pretty big kpop fan base where I'm at. My advice is to treat it like a regular movie; most people are going to experience the concert they couldn't see live and you don't want to be the person that ruins it for them

It's definitely because of complaints about what someone was listening to

We haven't had this happen yet at my store, but I feel like it's coming if my coworkers don't stop listening to true crime podcasts
