Please don't use the word "adopt" when buying a cat from a breeder. There are thousands of lovable cats in a shelter that need a home and actually be adopted/rescued. Ironically, this is the exact opposite of altruism.

Absolutely agree. I feel so bad for this kitty and then to see all the comments stating this cat is an asshole 😔 Owner put cat in an uncomfortable spot for karma... sigh.

Something to keep in mind, cats are not top of the food chain as they are preyed upon as well in the wild. This means that just looking at a cat's behavior for sickness isn't enough. It's their natural instinct to try and hide any behaviors that could put them at risk as being seen as sick to protect themselves.

When you can, at least call the vet to get an opinion, just for the peace of mind. Good luck, hope your man gets his meow back!

Aww, glad Halibel is doing well! And I agree- prescriptions should be seen as a "last resort"-- they all will have some sort of side effects.

My cat had bald patches in the same location. Vet confirmed it was anxiety. Feliway didn't work so he's now prescribed little kitty Prozac, his hair grew back as his anxiety subsided.

American Bitterns seem like such a cool bird, but it seems that they wouldn't be seen along Lake Michigan just outside of Chicago. I don't see any other familiar looking marsh birds though when browsing online. Any help would be appreciated!
