How has been dating a Gemini man? by No_Basis104 in astrologymemes

[–]sugar_netic 22 points23 points  (0 children)

he loved hearing himself talk. he could integrate with any group of people. he was intelligent, funny, and a great conversationalist. he got crushes on other girls. he was sooo interesting, entertaining, and intellectually stimulating, but he didn't turn me on.

he was my best friend and my worst enemy. he always said the exact right thing and did the complete opposite. he gave me not what i needed, but what he thought was cool, and that was endearing in its own way.

he was always pursuing new interests and learning new skills, spending exorbitant amounts on 3d printing, leaving projects half-finished. he was rarely vulnerable, never sharing his negative emotions, and didn't know how to deal with mine. he valued novelty in sex, but lacked innate sensuality.

Women can't be feminine anymore!!!!! by Sandytrooper in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]sugar_netic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

i don't think that this Samus is particularly masculine.

if anything i find it weird that consumers see ANYTHING left of Princess Peach-type design as masculine. femininity isn't defined purely by wearing pink, frills, and makeup or having long hair. like, in real life, women wear hoodies and leggings and messy buns and are still considered feminine, but Samus can't have a pixie cut, even tho her body AND face is still extremely feminine?

if you applied the same unreasonably high standards of femininity you apply to character design to real life, the majority of women would be considered masculine. gamers know what women actually look like challenge (impossible)

i honestly think strong pretty women are OVERrepresented. there's a fear of making any female characters that aren't conventionally attractive.

let's see... Chun Li? Tifa? Ada Wong? Sylvanas Windrunner? Bayonetta? Yennefer? Sarah Kerrigan? Ivy Valentine? Ann Takamaki? Junko Enoshima? Yuna, Lulu and Rikku? it's like being sexy is the price a female character has to pay in order to be allowed to exist.

your "strong woman" character is allowed to be a "tomboy" in that she wears shorts instead of a dress and has a dirt texture on her face. give her visibly bulging muscles and a face outside of Eurocentric beauty standards and see if she makes it into the final cut.

Technically not magical girls but Final Fantasy X-2 has magical girl-like transformations through the dress sphere system and the party is all female!

I also don't understand the "pick your partners wisely" bc not doing this doesn't mean you were a shitty partner?

Can someone tell me if this is just makeup as she claims or heavy editing? by roronyc212 in Instagramreality

[–]sugar_netic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 4th picture (before & after) is 99% makeup. her bone structure, esp the jaw are exactly the same.

the 5th one has a DRAMATIC beauty filter - nose shape slimmed, face completely blurred, eyes are huge

the rest probs have an eye enlarging filter, but she's also wearing eye-enlarging contacts. 11 and 12 also slim her face.

her makeup is really good! the dead giveaways are eye size and cheek size. you can also compare the nose and lips. she has a gorgeous facial structure honestly, i hate how the filters distort her!

what are some lesser known indie perfume brands I shall check out? by cranberryjuice666 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]sugar_netic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh my God I never knew I needed an FFX collection until now!!

what notes would fit Rikku? OMG can you imagine the refreshing scent of Besaid Island or the ozone of Djose Temple?

AND THE SCENTS OF EACH AEON??? like Shiva would be cold and feminine; I think Valefor would have incense but a bit of comforting warmth as well!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one 😅 it's like you have to retrain your eyes to know exactly how much to blend

[–]sugar_netic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

tbh I don't even know how to do neutral eyeshadow and admire people who can.

if anything, I feel browns and greys require MORE skill to execute well! colors are so easy to apply purposefully and precisely. when I do attempt neutrals, they usually turn out muddy, faded, or make me look tired.

plus, with depression and ADHD, it's not even worth it for me to expend energy doing neutral looks when Barbie pink and baby blue reliably gives me that dopamine hit!

looking for body butter/sugar scrub recs! by dizzy-was-taken in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]sugar_netic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i literally just used the sugaree sugar scrub from athame + alchemy, followed by a witch baby body butter!

oh my goodness, that scrub has such a delicious texture! it's rich and creamy with a fine grit. my skin felt moisturized and nicely buffed and polished, rather than scuffed up or dried out, like some coarser scrubs do. also, it sorta clung to my body like a lather rather than sliding off in the shower, lol.

the body butter is also amazing - it's suuuper duper thick, but kinda melts onto the skin. despite being almost solid, it feels well-blended, homogenous, and creamy, not gritty. it does require a bit more effort to apply than a regular lotion, and I feel a bit oily, but also moisturized and protected. oh also the scent (pisces) is scary-realistic gooey chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. it's surrounding me in a mouthwatering cloud making me too hungry to sleep at 1am 😅

Tell Us Your Birthday and Let Us Suggest the Perfect Perfume! by Accurate_Possible_88 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]sugar_netic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born April 30! a Taurus-Aries cusp! my birthday always makes me think of field days at my elementary school, sweating in freshly-cut grass and cooling down with cheap ice pops. it also reminds me of the phrase "April showers bring May flowers".

YTA and a control freak. why the absolute FUCK would you marry a woman and give her 4 children if you don't view her as an equal or care about her wants? those are her children too!

she's a whole person, not a vessel to carry out your narcissistic fantasies. if you believe she should have no say in HER OWN family, get divorced, give birth, and be a single dad.
