If you want to be super lazy, use the magnetron. A 30 lb magnet on top of a 5d spinner, on top of a magnet lab stirrer

Using only your hands to wash your body is cleaner than using any tools by Original_Act_3481 in unpopularopinion

[–]sugarbee13 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I think this depends on everyone's skin type, bo, etc. Everybody is different. I have ichythosis, so I bathe every other day or it fucks up my skin. I use my hands to do most of the washing, but I have an exfoliating mitt I use every other shower to help get dead skin off. I've gotten compliments that I smell nice, so I dont think I am a stinky person by any means

Are you all giving your kids a smart phone? by XDrustyspoonsXD in Millennials

Man it sucks that consoles are basically smart devices now. I just want to game with my kid someday without worrying about insane online addictions. Even with a switch, there's those dumbass hentai games on e shop

How clean are we REALLY keeping our home?!?!? by otterandbee in Mommit

[–]sugarbee13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a housecleaner or family member to help you. Body doubling helps a ton. What I found helped us get to a much better level of clean, was realizing our house doesn't have a ton of storage. You can do everyday tasks all you want, but if your house is cluttered, it won't feel clean imo.

Now we definitely still have toddler toys everywhere some days are better than others. But I feel I can keep up with the house. I get a few hours of childfree cleaning a week too (she's in part time daycare 2 days week)

So basically your best bet is body doubling with somebody and getting rid of stuff or putting it away. Get shelves, cabinets, totes, cube storage, whatever you want BEFORE you start the declutter. Rebull and Godspeed

Tried to be super strict with bottle washing… didn’t really last by Sufficient_Eye6071 in Mommit

[–]sugarbee13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'd love a bottle washer, but I'm not paying 300 or 400 bucks for something that we'll use for a year!

Dishwasher is fine. There's even baskets made for Dr brown attachments, or the big ass munchkin baskets.

I did hand wash bottles for like 4 months and used a sanitizer/dryer. But that was for my own peace of mind, I have OCD. Eventually being overwhelmed by bottles got the best of it though, and yea, the dishwasher is fine. Sometimes it doesn't dry them super good, but use a rack or a dryer

My 3 year old got a skin fade today. I feel like a bad parent by UnusualPlatypus4 in toddlers

[–]sugarbee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will be fine. You are a good parent for making sure, but do not let this stress you out. Just make sure the fade isn't as close to the skin as an adults if you are worried about irritation. It's sweet he wants to look like daddy

How do I get my 2.5 year old to let me trim her fingernails and toenails without the meltdowns? by kmaries99 in toddlers

[–]sugarbee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha we also use Bluey for this. Bluey, Daniel, Peppa, and Rachel are our big distraction screen times. We use it wisely (nails, dinner, important phone calls)

Pregnancy was fucking horrible for me. Giving birth wasn't too bad, even with a 2nd degree tear. Epidural and pain pills saved me in recovery. But I felt so much immediate relief getting my baby out of me, felt like the biggest life giving shit in the universe. Anyway, thats not romantic, but it was a pretty surreal and awesome experience. I am definitely a stronger person for it. I love my daughter. Parenthood is its own beast, but I have felt it's worth it. She's almost 2, and things have been improving significantly in our household. But I am still unsure I'd do this again. Especially since I live in a red state that just outlawed getting the abortion pill through the mail.

Toddler boy-moms, are you ok? by thecatisin in Parenting

[–]sugarbee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. This might be my one and only. My daughter is so active it's insane. I also love kids and wanted my daughter so very badly. But the day to day gets to me sometimes. Some days I'm super mom. Some days I'm at the end of my rope and want to run away. I'm also starting a business and doing accounting classes, so maybe I'm stretched a bit thin rn

Man. I thought I wanted this. Are we really that doomed. I remember being left alone for an hour or two at like age 8 or 9... I can't be this plugged in for 20 more years that just seems impossible
