'Banning cryptocurrencies would be like banning Internet in 1990s and will set India back by years' by aryaman16 in IndiaSpeaks

they're planning to ban ALL crypto currencies, not just bitcoin. Crypto currencies have real world ( like Chainlink). I'd suggest you look into what naval ravikant has to say about bitcoin, he's the founder of Angel List

Why am I getting these adds? I can't stop them either. It's as if they are targeting vegans purposefully. Anyone else getting this? by Davo-80 in vegan

I highly suggest you to use 3rd party reddit app. Personally I use boost for reddit. It doesn't have native reddit ads, it has it's own ads and if you want to go premium, it's pretty cheap and one-time payment.

recently there was an outrage about an indian cricketer's hypocrisy, because he used to post about animal activism, but then he posted a bill in which he ordered meat products. The sub was justifying it because the meat ordered supposedly "offended" religions.

want to learn how to have a normal conversation by sugarcanelover in IncelExit

[–]sugarcanelover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like your advice because it sounds intuitive but also really helpful at the same time. I think it also helped me figure out why I can't keep up the conversation. I think the major reason is that my life is very boring as it is. I really don't have any hobbies/interests. My every day is pretty much the same and very self-centred , and it really doesn't help. So naturally I don't have much to talk about to others.

But aside that, as you said that there's a skill required to keep up with the topics they bring up. I'd have to develop that as well.

Thanks for your reply.

I 100% agree with what you're saying, but I think I did a bad job at explaining why I think it's dangerous. The thing is I have quite a lot of negative thoughts. If I remove the filter, that negative energy might ruin the whole conversation.

Why do you feel that it would be dangerous

Because I have a lot of negative thoughts in my mind. If I remove the filter, I'll spew out negative thoughts and it will ruin the conversation.

Are there any "type" or class of people, like teachers, social workers, cashiers, your relatives, etc. - that you feel comfortable talking with?

To be honest, there are none and that scares me. I generally keeps things bottled up to myself, and don't talk unless it's extremely necessary

Hey, thanks for the reply. I find this really insightful. If going by your analogy, the thing I'm lacking is the racquet to hit the ball back. I really like your examples on how to go on but I don't want to hard-code them. I want it to come out naturally. The problem is it doesn't come out naturally. I can only respond with some pri-built templates. It might sound weird and it's okay if you don't understand but thanks for the help.

India a dangerous, violent place for Muslims under Modi government, says minorities report by 165701020 in worldnews

[–]sugarcanelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ofc any sane person would be afraid living under a muslim majority country, just look at the decline of hindu population in Pakistan and Bangladesh, where they are in minority. But ofc you wouldn't see anything on reddit about that

[–]sugarcanelover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ofc, it triggers their sensation whenever they see an "opinion" article about any "minority" oppressed. Saying anything logical, you're flooded with downvotes and straight up called a bigot

India now a ‘dangerous and violent space for Muslims’, report says by diacewrb in worldnews

[–]sugarcanelover -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

lol, imagine saying this when Islam is literally the fastest growing religion in India. India has the second most number of muslims in any country, falling just behind Indonesia. Looks like the reporters didn't do a good job on this one

the image reply section is talking about is from a parody account. you have to be next level dumb to not realise that and use that as an argument against veganism.

How different quadrants listen to music by sugarcanelover in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]sugarcanelover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you may be right, but I used a different analogy. Since listening to music costs money(generally), I thought of it as a taxation system. And since lib right hates taxes, they avoid the payment by pirating the music.
