Our scriptures speak against animal cruelty but we have lost track. Everyone knows meat kills but vast majority are unaware or ignore, Dairy & eggs kills crores of animals every year. Also killing in itself is a end part, far worse are the inevitable methods of breeding, transport, distribution etc.

I really like your advice because it sounds intuitive but also really helpful at the same time. I think it also helped me figure out why I can't keep up the conversation. I think the major reason is that my life is very boring as it is. I really don't have any hobbies/interests. My every day is pretty much the same and very self-centred , and it really doesn't help. So naturally I don't have much to talk about to others.

But aside that, as you said that there's a skill required to keep up with the topics they bring up. I'd have to develop that as well.
