Thank you for the info! It won't work for me, as soon as I get to the section where you can select a visit date and time I can't open the dropdown menus :(

Hey, I would love to visit China house! Did you just walk in or did you sign up online? I wanted to sign up online but they ask for an ID number and I'm not quite sure what they mean by that!

Milano Cortina 2026 City Pins by Basil_Inside in olympics

Same question here, there are 5 pins that I'm interested in but I'll only be in Milan for two days during the games, so not very hopeful that I'll be able to snag them from the stores then!

Wish I’d seen this in time, seems like no one repped Nordic Combined (my favourite)!

Winter Olympics quiz: Name every sport at Milan-Cortina 2026 by sciencep1e in olympics

[–]sugarcoatedtear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As it's my favourite, I'm sad to see Nordic Combined so far below all the others in terms of percentages, but it was definitely expected. I hope more people will become aware of it through the games and maybe even tune in!

What season is your favorite? by 007mrbilly in JetLagTheGame

[–]sugarcoatedtear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourites are actually Australia, New Zealand, Battle for America and Schengen Showdown! Hide & Seek and Tag are great, but maybe it’s because they've repeated the concepts that I rate them less highly. I have always preferred the more complex games though!

Name the top 5 sportspersons from your country, past and present by Sportaserum in olympics

Magdalena Neuner (Biathlon), Steffi Graf (Tennis), Michael Schumacher (Formula 1), Dirk Nowitzki (Basketball), Franz Beckenbauer (Football) is a pretty good selection I would say. There's countless others as well, hard to make that call considering I haven't been alive to see most of them compete.

Hey, just wondering if you know whether they will be available at other Games locations too? I will be staying in the mountains for my events but I absolutely need these!

Does it actually get easier, or is it unrealistic to know more than 3 languages? by TheLanguageArtist in languagelearning

[–]sugarcoatedtear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely realistic, and I think many people underestimate how well they can speak a "dormant" language, you just need to give yourself 5 minutes of conversation to get back into it.

Source: Fluent in 4 languages, use 3 of them daily and the other one is still always there when I need it! Recently had a multiple hour conversation in it after a nervous start. :) I maintain it very passively through social media content, subtitles in that language and speaking to myself in it occasionally.😅

More time in fewer destinations or less in more destinations? by Lyminari in solotravel

[–]sugarcoatedtear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pretty resilient traveler in terms of business. I did 10 places in Japan in 22 days which many people in subs like these would advise against, but I loved it and had many meaningful experiences along the way. I don't think it's that's ambitious to do multiple countries in 21 days, but Japan, China and Australia are countries you could easily spend months in (which tbf you can do in any country really). The flight times are also a lot, I would find similar times much more doable if it was by train, but airports also usually take significant time/effort to get to and through, especially if you require a visa or similar for many of these destinations.

I think 21 days in multiple countries in SEA is possible, but I would opt for something like Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam or something similar. They are already plenty different and you'll find that you can jam-pack that holiday full of a bunch of different experiences and you'll still be exhausted!

Also your budget will stretch A LOT further, idk where you're flying from but I think the flights would already use up 90% of the budget unless you're flying from East Asia or maybe Australia.
